The 2007 Shelby GT500 is the pinnacle of Mustang performance. With over 450 horsepower and 450 ft/lbs of torque, the 2007 Shelby GT500 will be the most powerful factory mustang yet. Caroll Shelby himself aided in the development and design of the newest car that bears his name. The heart of the 2007 Shelby GT500 is a 5.4 liter supercharged V8. It is derived from the Triton truck motor, and is very similar to the engine in the Ford GT. All of that power is routed to the ground through a Tremec T-56 6-speed manual transmission. Of course, the Shelby Mustangs of years past were about much more than just going in a straight line. The 2007 Shelby GT500 has what it takes to perform in the twisties, including revised spring rates, shocks, and upgraded stabilizer bars.
