Increased HP and torque. From the factory, the manufacturer programs their vehicles to cater to the needs of the daily driver, not the performance enthusiast. After loading the custom Bama Tune on a vehicle, even a bone stock, unmodified Mustang will realize noticeable gains in HP, Torque, and Fuel Economy.

Increase your mod's potential. Factory computer settings are calibrated for the original factory components. When making performance modifications, you need to recalibrate the vehicle's computer to realize the full potential that these modifications can achieve.

Custom Bama Tunes specific to your vehicle. When you order a tuner, you aren't just getting a tuner - you are getting the tuner and 3 dyno-tested custom Bama tunes:

  • Street (87-93 octane) - the street tune is designed as a daily driver program that focuses in on increasing mid-range power. It does give up a few HP at higher RPMs, but that's why there is a Performance file. Automatic vehicles are further enhanced by making adjustments to the transmission's shift points and firmness.
  • Performance (87-93 octane) - The Performance program is designed to add power at 3000 RPMs and higher, focusing more on the top end horsepower and all out performance driving. Timing, fuel and throttle response settings are slightly more aggressive than the street tune. This is a great track tune but also works well for daily drivers that are looking for a little more "get up and go" than the street tune. The automatic transmission settings are the same as in the street tune.
  • Race (91 - 93 octane) - The race tune will ensure the largest increase in vehicle performance. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area is mandatory. This file is designed for "Race only Use" as the timing, fuel, and throttle response settings are very aggressive. in fact, the adjustments are so aggressive, that we do not recommend it for daily driving as it may cause your vehicle to try to jump out from a stop and easily spin the tires. Finally, with the automatics, we implement entirely new shift points and firmness settings to further enhance the all-out performance of the vehicle.

Nitrous (91-unleaded race gas) - Our nitrous option can be added to any of our previously mentioned tune options, but only for 91-octane unleaded fuel.

Easy to load; easy to restore. Not only are the custom tunes easy to load on your vehicle, it is just as easy to restore your factory settings. When you load your custom tune on the vehicle, the tuner automatically stores your vehicle's factory settings. To return the vehicle to its factory settings, just plug the tuner back in, select the option to restore the factory settings, and you're done.

4.10 gears installation kit I recently purchased the 4.10 gears for my 2006 mustang GT and I'm not sure which installation kit I should buy !! Is this the right one !?!

Whats the difference? What is the difference between this kit and the kit for 35 dollars?

  • This kit comes complete with everything you need for a full rebuild: bearings, shims, crush sleeve, etc... The $35 kit is a basic kit that is the same as the more expensive version, but there are no bearings included. We highly recommend getting the complete kit and replacing all your bearings and shims at the same time to prevent any costly problems down the road. It's better to replace them all at once, rather than having to tear the car apart again just for a bearing gone bad.

    Pay for it now

    Even if you send the car to the shop to get it rebuild, you are much better off buying this kit then paying for parts. I was quoted a $900 installation + parts for redoing my rear gears. So I purchased the parts and lube here in American Muscle and only paid for labor which was only $360, so I ended up saving $275.

    Good buy for any guy (or gal)

    Bought gears, install kit, and girdle a few weeks ago and had them professionally installed. Very happy with the gears and how well my car pulls now. If you want to make your car a little quicker without major cash, these gears are an excellent choice.

    Can you say IMPROVEMEMT?

    Installed on my 03 GT. Install price was $200 trust me if you dont know what you are doing with the shims and setting the backlash have a pro install these, but lauch is much improved 2nd gear is nasty. Went to the local strip with is an 1/8 mile track and ran 9 flat with the help of the AM CAI. Killed a few Comaros in the process and isn't that what we are all after? Buy it stop reading! GO!

    DONT FEAR THE GEAR! The perfect gear for a street car. Decent RPMs on the highway and crazy excelleration through first 3gears. Have them installed by an experiance tech who has done these before. Its hard to keep my foot out of it now!

    3.73 2008 GT

    What gear do I get? That is the question burning through your mind, dear reader. I have not had a 4.10 in my car but putting in the 3.73 is with out a doubt a perfect match! The car is tighter on the pick up and it goes like stink! When you want it to be tame it will do that too. RPM increase at 60 mph is only about 200 RPM. Very little loss for a very big gain! I had mine installed by a good mechanic and that ran me a little over $300. A perfectly balanced gear.

    3.73 Gear Install

    I just had my 3.73's installed the other day on my 96 GT conv. MAN!!! What a difference. I would defintely recommend buying the bearing kit and the Royal Purple Max Gear oil. I did and I don't have any sort of whine, it is just very smooth, and definetly pulls much harder in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Thanks to AM for another perfect order!!!

    Need For Speed

    These 3:73 gears are awesome. Ford should have built mustangs with these gears instead of the whimpy 3:27\'s. Be prepared to get whiplashed while switching through gears. And if your good with the stick (manual transmission) you can burn rubber in 3rd gear too. These gears unleashed the beast within my 03 mustang they are a must have.

    Must Have

    bought these along with 3.73 gears for my 06 GT, if your installing new gears you NEEEEDD this kit. NEVER redo a rear end reusing the original bearings and bolts.I had ford do the install and if i bought the same bearings and bolts through them it woulda been $250 extra. trust me these are so worth it and assurance that NOTHING can go wrong if you do the install correctly

    i was trying to decide to go 3.73 or 4.10 but 4.10 will be to much. i went for 3.73 and got them installed at a profesional shop at houston performance and woooooow big difference, i love the way my 5.0l 94 stang, pulls now 2nd 3rd and 4th even 5th gear feels like 3rd going at 40 or 50 mph very pleased. if u are thinking about 4.10 and 3.73 go for 3.73 u wouldnt regret it. i recommend
