Custom Bama Tunes specific to your vehicle. When you order a tuner, you aren't just getting a tuner - you are getting the tuner and 2 dyno-tested custom Bama tunes:

  • Performance V2 (87-93 Octane) - The Performance Tune offers a seamless blend of power, performance and drive-ability. Improving the overall driving experience of your Mustang, the Bama Performance Tune improves vehicle acceleration, increases power throughout the entire RPM and improves throttle response with revised timing, fuel, and TiVCT maps. Automatic equipped vehicles offer an aggressive shifting map to provide more aggressive transmission settings. This tune is suggested for the aggressive daily driver that is looking for more "get up and go".

  • Race V2 (91-93 Octane, E85, Race Fuel) - The Race Tune is designed for maximum performance and ensures the largest increase in vehicle performance. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area is mandatory as timing, TiVCT, fuel, and throttle response settings are very aggressive. Automatic transmission settings implement entirely new shift points, torque converter changes and firmness settings designed for Track use.

Nitrous (91, 93, E85, Race Fuel) - Our nitrous option can be added to any of our previously mentioned tune options, but only for 91, 93, E85, or Race Fuel.

Technical Note About Fuel. Use of E85 will require larger fuel injectors such as Injector Dynamics ID1300 or Ford Racing 47lb/hr Injectors. Unleaded race fuel can also be used, but Stoichiometric points must be supplied.

**NOTE: Programming custom tunes may take 2-3 business days plus applicable shipping time. We recommend ordering other products separately to avoid delay. Some heavily modified cars are not tunable with a mail order tune. Click for details.

What kind of performance gains? I have a 2013 v6 auto and I am curious what type of gains are possible with this CAI? I guess what the gains in HP and TQ would be with the "highest" tune?

kdbdallas Year: 2013 Model: V6

  • With the tunes and a CAI we typically expect to see the HP and TQ to pick up by about 18-23. This is with using a 93 octane fuel, lower grades of fuel will result in less gains.

    Holy Weapons of Mass Destruction!!!!!!!

I was a little sketchy about buying this but I have to tell you that this was by far the best upgrade I could have hoped for. The installation went extremely well except when I was fixing the air tube to the airbox one of the screws fell down inside and it took about 20 minutes to get it back so make sure you stuff a rag into the hole before working in there and remember to remove it before closing the hood. Once the CAI was installed I followed the easy to use instructions to install the tune and there were no surprises. Once I took the car out for a drive the performance gains were noticeable instantly. The car pulls like a freight train and the sound is fantastic when you open it up. I should also note that when you are driving normally it doesn't sound any different from stock even under normal acceleration until you step on it and then the engine really sings. The guys at Bama Custom Tuning are great to communicate with and very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this to anyone as an awesome first mod for your Mustang. I can't imagine what they do for the GT. You will not be sorry buying this. Thanks for everything American Muscle.

An Excellent Mod Anyone Can Install

Airraid CAI: Even I was able to install this mod without any trouble and with only a few, very common tools. :) The difference was obvious and immediate to me, at least in the sound. It did make for a far more aggressive sound when rapid acceleration was needed. It felt strong, powerful, but I can't quantify that because I did not test it before and after on a dyno. I purchased this mod along side a set of deeper, more aggressive gears, which went into the car just a few days later, as well as a tune. These three things put together turned my V6 into a completely different, far more aggressive beast. The fitment is perfect, and appearance under the hood is excellent. Intune: About the Intune tuner. It took quite a lot of work to get this tuner working properly with my V6. In the end, Bama determined there to be an issue with the tuner either in software on their end or on my end and shipped me an SCT tuner instead. I CANNOT recommend the Intune, but I respectfully tip my hat to the Bama folks for putting a lot of time and effort into trying to fix the tuner, and then replacing it with a tool that simply works.

What I wanted, but hate the touch-screen

So I had a 2012 v6 with the SCT tuner/Airraid cai combo kit, and it was of course, well worth the money. Unfortunately, the officers recognized the tuner immediately while searching my car, which led me more in the direction of the smaller Diablo tuner this time around with my 2013 v6. :P I like it, it looks like an mp3 player/phone if you just see it in a corner, and it's much easier to hide. However, I hate the touch screen! I'd sit there trying so hard for it to select what I wanted, and it'd pick something else after much screen-tapping, only for me to have to try to exit out of that and go back to trying to get what I wanted. Eventually, I found using a pen or some other poor attempt at a stylus is beneficial. The Diablo also seems a lot more modern than the old SCT gargantuan tuner, even though it's all the same files- if it's worth the extra $100 to get a smaller, updated version of the tuner with more features, go for the Diablo. If you plan on tuning the car once and never really messing with the tuner, go with the less expensive, bulkier one. Of course, Airraid carried through as always, delivering that slightly throaty, amazing sound that the v6 otherwise could never dream of having. I definitely have noticed a difference.

Completely unbelievable. When I installed, I installed the CAI w/o the tune. Then test drove the vehicle. There was an immediate and noticeable improvement w/simply the CAI -- well worth the money there. After the tune, it was just crazy -- the way the V6 grabbed and ripped pavement was VERY noticeable; it reminded me of a 2014 Camero SS V8 that I rented once. It still doesn't have the same initial torque as a V8, but it's probably about as close as you can get w/o running a V8. (I could finish this off with underdrive pulleys, if someone would make them for the V8 and a new catback system.) A couple of items of note during the install. I'm happy with the Airaid, but the screws securing the intake to the filter housing didn't line up well at all, and I ended up having to drill out the bottom hole a little more. Not really acceptable, but since the torque screws are backed by washers, it wasn't a problem and didn't diminish the finished job or the quality. Also, I think the directions may be a bit convoluted. Securing the intake tunnel to the intake on the engine block is a bit tricky. I ended up removing the hose fittings from the intake tunnel so I could better rotate the intake tunnel to take into the rubber coupling. That worked well. The hose fittings are easy to install after the intake tunnel is secured and in place. I noticed also that the main 5/8" hose fitting (aluminum) angles a bit in the grommet after the install (the hose with the lock) and keeps the fitting from fitting snug in the grommet by maybe 1/8". It's not going to affect performance, but again, another alignment issue that bothered me a bit. All in all, this was a super easy install and the tune takes things WAY over the top. HIGHLY recommended as the first (and maybe only really needed) mod to a V6 Mustang. I'm going to run the street tune for a few tanks and then try the performance tune and see how it goes. The street tune FEELS like a performance tune! It's very dramatic. Very happy with this and highly, highly recommended. I'm mainly interested in the MPG efficiency increase and I'm looking to see if I can gain 2-3, perhaps 4 more MPG out of it. (4 is probably pushing it.)

    Awesome Purchase

The intake and tune combo made a huge difference. Its as if Avagantamos was awoken from a slumber. Installation was easy and the tune is just as easy to set up.

    Outstanding Combo

My Marine son bought me this package as a gift. First, I can't say enough about how awesome a gift this is. Especially while he's fighting it out in Afghanistan. Thank you brother! Now to the nitty gritty. Packaging was nice and simple, well protected, and all parts were clean and flawless. Installation went very smoothly. Sure, the intake tube is tight, but I'd rather that than a loose mess. I had zero issues getting it installed and the whole process took about an hour (to include tuning). The result is that my Mustang has been woken up from a slumber artificially imposed by Ford. It has a nice growl and is far more responsive. The final product is exactly what I'd hoped it would be with no disappointment!

it's real simple, this is the best money I have ever spent... The exhaust note from when you first turn the ignition is surprisingly different and a thing of beauty, an instant indication of the huge difference in engine performance + couple that with the improved gear changes when you're motoring = constant grin on your face. My v6 is a different animal within 90 minutes. The Airaid CAI is really well built, nice solid construction, fits extremely well, and is really simple to plug in. The instructions are clear, and they even include the necessary star-key required to uninstall factory sensor in the kit. Very cool.

    Very easy installation.

As a very novice mechanic I was able to easily remove the old CAI. I had a little trouble getting one of the sensors installed on the Airaid CAI but eventually got it installed. After that, putting the new intake on was an easy job. About 1 1/2 hours for me. Installing my custom tune was real easy. Followed the provided instructions and I was on the road in know time.

Airaid CAI, DiabloSport InTune, and BAMA 93R THE combo!

Ever hear a Pony growl? I swear with the Airaid Cold Air Intake these 3.7s do… medium light throttle pressure just a bit before a downshift would happen it does this very low throaty almost guttural: GROWL… Then the downshift happens as I stomp it and the intakes audio intensity gets radically loud, compared to stock, for being nothing but pure intake sound. (still 100% stock exhaust) The instructions that came packaged with the Airaid Cold Air Intake were fairly good; but there were a few things that they didn’t mention/notice or maybe something simply changed during production; between the writing and the current product being shipped: (thus 4 on ease of use) I noticed as soon as I began to assemble the air-tube, rubber grommet, and aluminum PCV connector the original hole that was made in the air-tube is a bit too tight. If you position the barb of the aluminum PCV connector in the center of the hole, in the air-tube, for it there is not even a 1/16 of an inch gap between the two of them all the way around. The original rubber grommet had to be almost a 1/8 inch thick, no wonder it didn’t want to fit. So I bored the hole out as best I could, I then decided to use a different rubber grommet (which is also designed for PCV systems) with a slightly larger outer surface lip to hide the minor irregularities my ad-hock boring had caused. It is completely sealed and the aluminum PCV connector is held firmly in place with the barb fully engaged/latched inside through the rubber grommet just like it was made for it.
