I have a 2007 Mustang GT with the Shelby package. Will this or the one just below work or has that already been taken care of with the Shelby package

MustangMan69

  • It may fit OK, but not worth your time and money man, your already fit for forced air, this little bit of extra vortex will do little to nothing for you, you really want bang for your buck on your Shelby man Go put 410 Ford Racing Gears, use Royal Purple to re fill, get a set of 305 50 R 18 on your SVT Rims, Use the Mickey Thompson Street Drag Radials on the rear, will give you now a 12+ inch rear foot print, all in all you will have spend about $600 - $700, and look out and hang on, your going to stick like a bugger, and 1/.4 mile time will drop big !!, is like adding 50 or 60 horse, did it to my 05 Modified GT, best thing by far, iuf you have not considered this you can actually Utitilize the big HP you may be missing with not hooking up good, just easy in the rain, keep your traction control on, and no heavy corner punching, it minnor TC is a saver, just so you know Another adding more cold air under your hood, with a lower Ram Air tube,I have Shaker, thery make a kit for Supercharged Shelby as well now, they look Mean, and really Inprove the kick and also sealing good around the air Intake plenium is another big boost for the car, keep the Hot air out and away from the Cold Air in, let it breath . cold , clean , fresh air, Enjoy Mustang Brother Perkins

I know it says stock throttle body, but will this work with BBK 62mm throttle body?? Thanks!!

Mike625

  • The stock throttle body and the BBK throttle body have a different bore size: BBK 62mm and stock 55mm. Therefore, this spacer will only work properly with the stock throttle body.

Will this Airaid spacer work with a BBK after market cold air intake??

s281

  • Yes, but it tightens up everything since the spacer puts the CAI out of normal alignment.

Which would be better, adding a TB spacer or a nbodyew 62mm Throttle

  • I just installed the Airaid Poweraid Throttle Body Spacer and it is totally worth it. I feel the added torque and power. I even hear it whistle every time I get on the gas. Also saves you money compared to buying a whole new throttle body

    Airaid Poweraid Throttle Body Spacer

I have read many mixed reviews on TB spacers, and decided to just go ahead and give it a shot. Things I noticed: 1. the "whistle" sound is sometimes heard but is not consistently prevalent. Also it is not very loud. 2. I did notice about an 1 mpg increase. 3. Increased throttle response was probably the more noticeable effect the TBS had.

    Love it

More horse power and makes take off faster. Would recommend to anyone. Did not take long to install and was not hard. My father could not believe how much faster takeoff was when he drove.

    What I was expecting!

I read some reviews that stated that there was no whistle or performance gained when installing this Throttle body spacer; I had all the opposite. It was very easy to install with the proper tools in hand and I notice immediately a cool whistle when accelerating my stang. Better throttle response is more noticeable as well, car feels faster. Just what I was looking for. Thanks AM!! Airaid.

Good fit and a bit of noticeable pickup

After reading the reviews and looking for a little gain in mpg and throttle response, I figured I would give this throttle body a try. Bolting it on was easy and the instructions were just detailed enough to make this a snap. I really have not driven the car much since adding the throttle body and just got done modifying the plenum cover to fit now that it is on. When accelerating I do hear a whistle sound, which I guess is kinda cool. I do not expect this $100 part to snap my neck, but it does seem to give the pedal a little quicker response.

    Airaid didn't let me down!

Installation was less than an hour. Fit was a little tight, so removed the bolt off the power steering tank and moved it down. Red some people not hearing the whistle, I certainly do every time I step on it. Defiantly recommend this product!

    Airaid Spacer

It does give her a better bite, throttle is already crisp in my 05 GT, but it even seems more resposive, the whole get a little wistle sound when you puch it is B.S They should not promote this way, as they say when you here this then you know it's working, it only Installs one way, I just gave it a good rating, but the sound is N/A But still a couple ponies for not too much $, I'm OK with my Purchase

    WOW!!

I heard from a couple people that a throttle body spacer is a pointless upgrade, but after reading many reviews I decided to try this one out, install was very simple, some mustangs come with the intake manifold cover and after the install of the TBS it will not fit, unless you modify it slightly, (not to difficult at all!) the 'whistle' of the spacer is amazing! It will never get old! I love this product already! Thanks again American Muscle!!

    Slight difference

Install was quick and easy on this. I was worried my AirAid CAI would be an issue since the throttle body is extended forward. But, all I had to do was remove the coolant bottle and that made it much easier. I notice a slight difference in response. I don't hear much of a "whistle" like the ad mentions. I have a custom tune so that may need to be tweeked to feel full potential.

    can hear the whistle

i like how it fits and looks on my 08 stang but the only problem i have is that my beauty cover ( which comes stock on 08,09 stangs) doesnt fit after you install the spacer. gonna have to cut the cover to make it fit. wish i would have known this before i bought it. i can hear the "whistle" noise it claims to make and sounds great.

This a a very simple and easy install. It took me less than 30 minutes. I noticed a slight power gain and noticed better fuel efficiency as well. The look of the spacer also adds a stylish touch under the hood.

    Great new product

I bought this spacer with a CAI and installed them together so I didn't get to see just this product's gain. However, this makes the car's intake sound awesome and I'm sure it helped performance by 5-10 horses.

I did see a notice in better mpg but my power is a little lower and when I put it on with my aftermarket intake, my intake stuck out a little more and didn't fit properly anymore so I had to rea range it so I could close the hood

Is that a supercharger? No! It's a spacer

I bought this throttle body spacer not expecting much from any performance gains. I knew that circulating the air into the intake manifold was not going to bring huge gains. I bought this primarily for the sound that this throttle body spacer gives off! So many of my friends always ask me if my engine is supercharged because of the Whistle this spacer gives off. I think its the next best sounding thing to a supercharger without breaking the bank. You can definitely here it from the outside as well as driving. Its nothing too loud or very noticeable, but it surely is there. If you want a mod that will make your engine bay sound nice as well as driving then the poweraid throttle body spacer is the way to go! Installation was a breeze, just make sure you follow directions. And as far as gains have come along, I have seen an increase of 1/2 mile more miles per gallon then without it. Nothing huge as I expected.
