Hey, guys. Today we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Anderson Composites carbon fiber front chin splitter for 2018 and newer GT and EcoBoost Mustangs. So this is made of real carbon fiber and it has a gloss finish on it. It's going to completely replace your factory chin spoiler. It does come with new hardware and it also utilizes some factory hardware. It's a great way to add a touch of carbon fiber to the front end or just change up the front end looks of the 2018 Mustang. It costs about $750 and the install will be a two out of three wrenches in the difficulty meter and we'll go ahead and show you how to get it on your car now.For this install, we used a body panel removal tool, a quarter-inch drive ratchet, a 7-millimeter socket, an 8-millimeter socket, and also a 7-millimeter swivel. Okay, guys, we're gonna do this install without removing our front fascia. You guys can too, you'll just need to be able to get the car high enough in the air to get under it to move your belly pan. So we're going to start the install by removing our belly pan. These are 7-millimeter bolts that are holding this in and we do have quite a few. They go all the way around on the front lip and there's some in the middle here as well. All right, guys, there are three push pins and each wheel well we'll also need to remove in order to get the belly pan off. You also have two push pins right in the middle of the belly pan too.All right, we're gonna go ahead and remove the push pins in the other wheel well now. We have four bolts left holding our belly pan in place, two here and two a little bit further up. Once we drop the last one, we're going to completely drop the belly pan. Okay, guys, so at this point, we have full access to remove our factory chin spoiler since our aftermarket one is going to completely replace our factory one. We have a couple more 7-millimeter bolts to remove and a couple body push pins too. All right, now we're ready to remove the factory chin spoiler. It's literally just gonna slide right out of place. Okay, guys, so on the table, we have our factory chin spoiler and the Anderson Composites chin splitter.First things first, obviously, you're getting a very big change in looks here. So the Anderson Composites is kind of like a chin spoiler with a built-in chin splitter. And it is made from real carbon fiber and it does have a clear coat finish on it. So with carbon fiber, I always recommend to keep it waxed all the time. It's going to protect it from the sun. You won't have any kind of fading or sun damage or any clear coat damage either. This thing does have a 6-month appearance and finish warranty on it though just for a little bit of peace of mind. And carbon fiber is always been known to be lightweight but also durable at the same time, which is great for a chin spoiler. This thing does completely replace your factory chin spoiler and it does come with new hardware. With all that being said, let's go ahead and get this thing bolted up. All right, guys, at this point, we're ready to get the splitter in place. It might be helpful to have a second set of hands help you just to line everything up because you will be taking the hardware that's given by Anderson Composites to you, and you're going to be bolting this in in the stock location. All right, guys, now we're ready to get our push pins back in place. I will say, you may have to conform the bumper a little bit to fit the chin splitter, but that's to be expected. So we're going to go ahead, we are going to squeeze our bumper and the chin splitter together and we'll get our pins back in place. All right, guys, at this point, it's time to reinstall the belly pan.Now if you have a non-Performance Pack car like we do, you have two options. You can go ahead and install the belly pan but it's not going to fit 100% the same as it did before you installed this splitter. We are going to go ahead and install this and we'll show you where it's just a little bit off fitment-wise. Your other option is to get a Performance Pack belly pan but you don't necessarily have to do that. You can also run no belly pan if you want to. If you guys have a Performance Pack car, this isn't something you have to worry about. The Performance Pack belly pan will bolt right up to this perfectly. So we're going to go ahead and get this installed. So instead of bolting into our chin spoiler, this is going to bolt directly to the front fascia. We're going to go ahead, get our push pins in place here. All right guys, the last thing that we're going to do is get our push pins in place here. Remember we have three on each side of the car. And this is one of the plus sides of reinstalling your belly pan. Your wheel liner actually gets push-pinned to your belly liner here. So if you don't reinstall your belly liner, your wheel liner is going to be flopping. So we're going to go ahead, get our push pins in place. All right, guys, before we get our last three push pins in place, I want to take a second and show you how the non-Performance Pack belly pan does not quite fit.So it's only this area right here in the corner. You have about four bolt holes on each side that won't line up. All of your other bolt holes will line up perfectly fine, the entire front, the ones in the back here. So we may end up picking a little bit of wind noise from this spot here. But I think the advantage of getting your wheel liners bolted back up to your belly pan far outweighs that. All right, guys, that's going to wrap up this review and install. Keep in mind, you can always check this out more online right here at americanmuscle.com.

Bold Style. Take the front end of your 2018-2023 Mustang GT or EcoBoost from stock to spectacular with an Anderson Composites Type-AR Front Chin Splitter in Carbon Fiber. The aggressively-styled chin splitter sits under the front bumper and gives your Mustang a distinct, fierce stance.

Carbon Fiber. Anderson Composites uses real carbon fiber to construct your new Front Chin Splitter. This quality material is lightweight and durable, with a design that helps it improve your vehicle's aerodynamics by reducing drag and increasing downforce. A clear finish completes the rugged look.

Uses OE Hardware. When you remove the factory front-end chin splitter, hold onto the OE hardware as this new Anderson Composites model uses it for the installation. The process involves removing the front bumper, which cannot be aftermarket style if the new splitter is to fit beneath it properly.

Application. This carbon fiber Anderson Composites Type-AR Front Chin Splitter is designed for 2018-2023 Ford Mustang GT and EcoBoost models equipped with stock front bumpers.

Technical Note. If the Chin Splitter will be installed on a Non-Performance Pack Equipped Mustang, you must convert the OEM Belly Pan/Splash Guard over to an OEM Performance Pack Belly Pan/Splash Guard.
