Will the heighth and width of these two different tire sizes effect any inaccuracy of the speedometer?

    mustang637 Year: 2001 Model: GT

    • They won't be the EXACT circumference of your factory tires, but no, there should be negligable difference; these have a diameter of 25.4" and your factory size for the 2000 GT with 16" wheels was approximately 25". I say approximately because that year had 6 different types of wheel/tire combos. This is only a reference so you can see it's negligable. The staggered width has no affect on the speedometer.

    Question Resolved

Tire set up Can I fit 275/40/18 at the front and 285/35-18 at the rear with the staggered rims 18x9/10 set up without rubbing issues? Thank you.

    zhlange68FB Year: 2003 Model: Mach 1

    • No, a 275/40-18 tire is too large for the front of your S197 and you'd run into clearance issues. If you wanted to build your own wheel and tire package with larger tires, you could do 18x9 with 275/35-18 front and 18x10 with 285/35-18 rears without any problems at all. Hope this helps!

      Looks Good, Feels Good

Compared to the stock wheels these look incredible with a mean stance. The seamless spokes look great and are more dynamic than the stock look. The deep dish look is awesome, also. The anthracite silver was not as dark as it looks in the image but they are still satisfying to look at. My rims came with small weights adhered to the inside of the rims for balancing. This is something I wasn't expecting and I would prefer not to have, but with these rims, they are necessary. Overall - I'm satisfied with a great product and reasonable price. Thanks AM for the quick shipping and protection in the packaging.

      Exactly what my car needed.

I had a hard time deciding between the anthracite and black Bullitts for my silver 2000 GT convertible. Finally went with this package and I couldn't be happier. The wheels look incredible. I was concerned that the 10" rear wheels would stick out too far. Once on the car, however, I found that the bottom of the tire sits perfectly flush with the fender flare (top sits just inside). The ride is quite, and stiff enough to feel the road without being rough. I am very pleased with this purchase.

      New wheels!

I love the deep dish look. My stang came with Bullitt factory wheels but the deep dish Bullitt give it an aggressive stance. . I have the 18x10 in the back and 18x9 in the front. This gives it the muscle car look. Looking from the front or back of your car these wheels make your car look mean!

Fantastic look, surprising improvement in ride

After shopping around domestically (Canada) for over a year, I finally came back to these - they were initially my first choice. Couldn't be happier with the look, quality and price. Nothing I found from half a dozen local shoppes could come near the size and look. The biggest surprise was how well it helped the ride in comparison to the '03 17x8 bullitt Ford rims. Recommend this package highly to fellow Canucks and all Mustang owners alike.

      Outstanding

Love the way they look, handle, and ride. Less road noise in my car now with these tires and rims then the last ones I had. I have gotten lots of complements and they haven't been on there a whole week yet.

      Not very staggered

Can't really tell the difference after swapping out the stock wheels/tires. A lot of reviews on here saying their stangs looked meaner - but I think its their wallets talking. Yes they look new and shiny, but the "staggered" look is missing. The extra inch on the back set is barely noticeable, if at all. (Going to upload photos so you can see from a more realistic angle) Putting $1400 into a $6k car I was expecting a little more bang for the buck.

      excellent wheels

I had some 18in 03 cobra wheels and no one really gave them a second look but now with these wheels everyone comments on them everywhere I go. There a lighter gray than factory but still a very good looking wheel with the chrome lip it gives the wheel a killer look.

Love the deep dish and staggered look

he wheels and tires fit great, they filled out my wheel wells perfectly on my 03 gt. I love the staggered look it is exactly what my car needed. The stock 17" wheels and tires had such a huge gap in the wheel wells that this set was perfect size wise. The color isn't the same as the stock wheels so I am very disappointed with that they are so light in color that from a distance they almost look chrome, which I really dislike. I really wanted to keep the car looking stock and with these new ones it is very noticeable that they are not stock. From the pictures they looked allot darker on the website. After seeing them on my car I wish I would have gone with the black ones, The anthracite at American Muscle is just too light of a silver color, they look chrome or polished from a distance. Which is not the look I was going for at all. Very unhappy with the color. But the big problem was they were not balanced, from the moment I put them on my car it shook. It vibrated so bad I ended up taking it in and it cost me $60 bucks to get them rebalanced at a local shop. The shop I took them to said who ever balanced them didn't do a very good job, only 1 wheel of the 4 was properly balanced. So now after a bunch of hassle my car is driving smooth down the road. Would I recommend these wheels and tires to a friend? Yes I would I would just also recommend that as soon as they are shipped to you go get them checked for proper balance before you put them on your car. And do no expect the anthracite to look dark like the stock ones at all and DO NOT buy just rear ones to give yourself the staggered look they will not match the stock from ones at all. Buy it as a set of four.

Takes your Mustang to another level

I like to keep my cars as close to stock as possible, but once I saw these, I kept thinking about how great they would look. The deep dish style gave my Mustang a great stance and the Nitto tires look and ride fantastic. The grip is much better than my OEM tires and I think they might be slightly quieter, to my surprise. The wheel well gap with the OEM 17s is huge. I was hoping this would fill it in slightly, and that is what it does, not much more... but the wheels look so good, they attract the eye from the well at bit. Only problem was finding the right psi for the 18s. The sticker on the Nittos say to refer to the cars owners manual, but that is for stock 17s.
