What is the spline count on theses studs? Mine is not a Mustang application but a 1984 Toyota 4WD and I'm looking for longer studs for the front as I have switched from steel wheels to aluminum. The truck had wheel spacers on it when I got it and they are of unknown brand/origin. The studs in the spacers have a .62 knurl with 35 splines or "valleys". The strange part is the rear studs are already long enough, only the fronts are too short. I have searched high and low for longer studs to no avail. Thanks

  • Unfortunately for the ARP Rear Wheel Stud - 0.625 in. Knurl I do not have the spline count. It does not appear on the manufacturers website either. I would recommend contacting ARP directly for the spline count.

wheel spacers Will these work for an 89 mustang with 5/16 wheel spacers?

slick89

  • The ARP Rear Wheel Stud will work with the spacers on your 1989 Mustang, however, you will want to ensure that there will be enough threads on the wheel stud to secure your wheel to the vehicle.

  • These longer ARP Rear Wheel Stud - 0.625 in. Knurl (79-04 All) are only designed to work on the rear of the Mustang. They will not work on the front, so you will not be able to use them with your setup.

    Great price. No fantastic price

Running a 14' wheel on my foxbody I needed to use a spacer to bring the rear wheel out to fill the wheel well. Plus I like the look on longer studs sticking out with the added bonus of safety. These studs a much better and stronger than anything stockish. It all positive pluses switching to these. Will be running long ARP studs on front wheels as well.

    Favorite wheel studs

Pulled into my irs hubs perfectly. These same studs can be used in the front if you ream out the holes with a 39/64" drill bit/reamer. This is what maximum motorsports specs and that's what I did with these. Would definitely buy again

    Solid studs

To avoid any changes of breaking your studs I recommend these. You can feel the solidness in the studs versus other brands.

    ARP Rear Wheel Stud

Very strong studs, easily installed ten of these in an hour and with correct tools. Make sure and apply some yield or safecracker and they will pull up into the hub easily, as the last reviewer stated save your old lug nuts to pull up the new studs after a few uses the lug nut will be damaged, so obviously you would not want to use your new ones. Would also recommend running a die up on them to rechase the threads, over all well worth the money. I had to buy them to install the 315/35/17 wheels i bought for my 96 mustang gt, since the stock studs were to short once i put the 5/16 wheel spacers on to get the wheels off the rear shocks

    ARP is Great!

Installed these at the same time I installed Moser 31 spline axles and a 31 spline FRPP differential. It absolutely pays to put these in while everything is apart. For $40 total it's a great investment that prevents you from worrying about ever breaking a stud. ARP is the best there is when it comes to hardware!

    Great product

Installed on a 2003 Cobra IRS without issues or drilling. Having air tools to drive them in makes it go a lot faster but not necessary to get the job done. Make sure to get one or two extra open end lug nuts with a few washers to dive them into the hub, don't plan on reusing the lug nuts used to drive them in they'll most likely be ruined.

    ARP wheel studs

I always up grade with ARP products, when ever I mod my street/strip Mustang. I've seen wheel studs break and then the remaining studs zipper, (break in sequence), so that the wheel falls off the car. I've never seen ARP studs and bolts fail. I recently up graded my axles, and when I put new axles into my car I upgraded to ARP studs. A word of caution/information, these are a little longer that the original factory axle studs so if you have ornamental wheels with ornamental wheel nuts you may want to modify the length before installation.

    Necessary upgrade

Excellent upgrade when putting some strength in your rear end. Fit great, and the center caps on my replica 1993 Cobra wheels fit without cutting the studs!
