Hey, guys. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and installing the Barton Pistol Grip Shifter Handle for 2011 to 2014 GT and V6 Mustangs. So Barton calls this an automatic pistol grip shifter handle, and just to clear up any confusion, this is for the 6-speed MT-82 transmission. So a pistol grip shift knob gives a totally different look and a really different driving feel than your stock-style shift knob or a regular eight ball shift knob. It's going to put your hand in a very different position. It is contoured to fit your hand and this thing has a ton of style. It's made from billet aluminum, it's powder coated matte black, and you guys can see the Coyote logo that's engraved in it right here. It cost about $140 and the install's very easy. I'll call it a one out of three wrenches in the difficulty meter and we'll go ahead and show you how to get it installed now. All right, guys, we are going to remove our factory shift knob. In order to do that, we are literally just gonna take it and unthread it from our shifter handle. So now we'll take our new shift knob, which is a pistol grip shift knob. It's a totally different type of shift knob than your factory one or even an eight ball style. It's a different type of feel in your hands and gives you a different type of driving experience. I will say that you do have the option of using thread locker on this. It doesn't come with a jam nut, so if you use some thread locker, you'll be okay there. You also have the option of eliminating your shift boot if you want to, you don't have to. We're going to leave our shift boot on here and just run our handle down until it meets the shift boot. So this is powder coated matte black and I will say that holding it in your hand, it definitely conforms to your hand. You guys can see the different type of driving experience I'm talking about. Instead of holding at the top or maybe even in the front, you are now holding like this. So at this point, we're just threading the knob down until it gets tight. All right, so we'll just make sure our shift boot looks nice, make sure it's straight and not twisted. Just to demonstrate here, instead of grabbing the top of the shift knob, you're now literally just using the pistol grip and banging gears that way. All right, guys, that's gonna wrap up this review and install. Keep in mind you can always check this out more online right here at americamuscle.com.
