Description
Slick Black Finish, Effective CAI. Drawing in a refreshing gale of cold air, packed with oxygen, to increase the engine power of your 2010-2014 Raptor, the BBK Blackout Cold Air Intake Kit offers an alternate aesthetic choice for your F-150’s underhood appearance. Though the tube’s made of aluminum for corrosion proofing, this variant features a black textured powder-coat rather than a polished or chromed finish, giving your Raptor’s 6.2L engine an aggressive but stealthy look. The big air filter and unrestricted intake tube design mean this BBK component adds up to +10 horsepower and a similar dyno-proven torque boost.
Works with Stock Tune. The BBK Blackout Cold Air Intake Kit can be used without changing the OE tune. There is no requirement to use a tuner module or install an aftermarket tune in order to make it work smoothly with your F-150 Raptor. On the other hand, if you want to use an aftermarket tune for other reasons, the Blackout will continue to work just as effectively as it does with the stock tune.
Thrifty Reusable High-Flow Filter. Cotton fabric is used for the large, blue, oval filter element that cleans the air drawn into the BBK Blackout Cold Air Intake Kit. This material, as well as the size of the filter, enable a much higher air flow than the small factory paper filter – up to 75% greater volume of cold air reaching the interior of your truck’s engine. The oiled filter is also completely washable and reusable.
Superior Materials and Excellent Build. The BBK Blackout Cold Air Intake Kit is made proudly in the USA, using high quality materials at an affordable price point. The mandrel-bent intake tube, through which large quantities of air flow in freely, is made from aluminum, rendering it immune to rust and most corrosion. A textured black powder-coat finish provides some extra protection, plus a stealth look. The intake features a heat shield and has a reusable oiled filter made from blue cotton fabric.
Has Provision for a High Flow MAF. There is room to mount a high flow MAF in the built-in housing of the BBK Blackout Cold Air Intake Kit. The secondary hoses included are made from quality heat-resistant silicon, also blue (similar to the filter).
Straightforward Drill-Free Fitment. No drilling, trimming, or other mods are needed to attach the BBK Blackout Cold Air Intake Kit in your Raptor’s engine. The part bolts on to the same holes that support the stock intake’s mount. The kit is packed with all the hardware you need for an install, including stainless steel clamps.
1-Year Warranty. The BBK Blackout Cold Air Intake Kit is covered by a 12-month (1 year) limited manufacturer’s warranty against defects.
Not Street Legal in CA. The BBK Blackout Cold Air Intake Kit does not meet the standards set down in CA’s CARB regulations. Therefore, it is not street-legal in California, or any other jurisdiction using the CARB rulings. The component is 49-state legal and can be driven in most American locations outside CA.
Application. The BBK Blackout Cold Air Intake Kit is made to fit 2010-2014 Ford F-150 Raptors equipped with a 6.2L engine.
Technical Note. This BBK Cold Air Intake Kit is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.
