Fine-tuned Alignment. Whether you spend your time on the track or on the street, you need a proper alignment. BBK Performance caster camber plates will allow you to fine tune your S197 Mustangs front end geometry to prevent premature tire wear while improving steering input and response, turning your Pony into a real corner carver.

Ideal for Lowered Mustangs. If you have lowered your 2005-2014 Mustang, you may not be able to get your suspension back into alignment, resulting in accelerated tire wear or less-than-ideal handling. Fix the issue with the extra adjust-ability you need with a set of BBK Performance Caster Camber Plates that make lining things up easy and worry-free.

Bolt-On Installation. BBK Performance engineers specifically designed these 4-Bolt Caster Camber Plates to be a direct bolt-on upgrade with no drilling or cutting required for installation.

Made in the U.S.A. CNC machined in the USA from high quality billet aluminum for strength, these BBK Performance caster camber plates feature an engraved "GRIPP" logo and a satin machined finish for impressive under hood styling.

Application. These BBK Performance 4-Bolt Caster Camber Plates are specifically designed to be used on the  2005 to 2014 Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt, BOSS, and Shelby GT500 models.

Strut tower brace compatible? These look really cool, but are they compatible with the factory strut tower brace? If so how's it work?

steevelo1

  • I purchased a used strut tower brace and I was told that it was a stock part on the Mustang that it came off of. My brace is similar to American Muscle's Ford Boss 302 Strut Tower Brace (05-14 GT, V6) Item # 53686 and my brace works fine with the BBK cast and camber plates. I installed the BBK plates on my car with my strut tower brace with no issues at all. The only thing that can be expected is the nut used to hold down the strut brace does not have too much stud to grab but it works fine. They look awesome under the hood!

Will these replace your factory upper strut mounts? Or do they require the factory upper strut mounts? I ask, because the right strut mount fell apart, and needs to be replaced. And was wondering if these camber plates can solve my issue.

Lombardi

  • Yes, the BBK Caster Camber Plates (05-14 All) will be replacing your upper strut mounts.

Will these work with after market strut tower braces? I currently have a SR strut tower brace. Will my brace work with these plates or will I need a different brace?

PlatypusKnight

  • Yes you can use strut tower braces. Per BBK, they will work with a strut tower brace, but you just won't be able to use the decorative top cover plate. Hope this helps!

    BBK Caster Camber Plates

These were installed by a professional who has done struts for years, and sadly these plates just don't live up to the task. They have been installed on the car over a year now and I have had nothing but problems with my front suspension since then. I paired these plates with an Eibach kit (purchased elsewhere) and it has been a nightmare ever since. The Eibach kit, and subsequent replacement struts were and currently are junk as I have gone through 2 sets within 20,000 miles. These plates have not helped either. They can and will make noise in the front end, creaking and clanking are normal noises now. They are also of poor construction and design, sure they are designed to be clamped shut and the bearings to stay in place, but during initial install and the subsequent re-installations the bearings were not only easily lost, but almost a sure thing when you remove the strut. If you can do it, try camber bolts first. Otherwise I would look for a different set of plates.

    Nice Upgrade

If your wanting a upgrade form the factory look on the strut towers this is nice little upgrade. Took about 1 1/2 hrs to install. The only real issue I didn't like was at the bottom of the camber plates it is some type of synthetic for the spring to seat in. It has bearings in it. It suppose to stay snapped to the bottom of the caster plates but doesn't. So be careful you may wind up picking up a lot of BB bearings up and having to put them back in the track.

    Clunking caster camber plates

I've always gotten great quality products from BBK and they looked great. The install was pretty straight forward but unfortunately, in my case they "clunked" every time I hit a bump and I never was unable to get the car into spec during the alignment. They say they will fit 05-14 mustangs, but other caster camber plates are specificly designed for 11-14 mustangs (mine was a 12). Anyway, had to remove them to get the "clunking" to stop and go with another brand.

Must have part with Eibach Suspension Kit

This is a must have item if you are doing an Eibach suspension upgrade. When install the lowering springs and shocks and struts you change the stance enough that you will need these plates to be able to properly align your vehicle. I have a heavily modded 06 GT vert and the BBK plates are the best functioning and best looking available. Install easily, function perfectly and really dress up the inside strut towers. After the install I was able to reuse my existing Steeda strut tower brace with this part which was really nice.

    Looks great under the hood

I was on the fence about ordering these plates but once they were on my car, I was glad that I got them. One thing that I was worried about was these plates not working with my strut tower brace but I found out very quickly that there were no issues at all with fitment. My strut brace is similar to American Muscles Boss 302 Strut Tower Brace (05-14 GT, V6) Item # 53686 just to give you an idea. Installation was very straight forward and I added these plates with Eibach shocks/struts and Eibach Sport line springs all at the same time. The price is comparable to other brands and gives a cleaner look overall. My strut brace has the same finish as the top plates and gives my car completed, professional look under the hood. I recommend this product.

    Expensive learning experience

I bought this and gave it to my mechanic. I was being constantly called by him telling me what was wrong with the part. After a half day of trying to get this BBK unit to work, it was finally done. The good part was my car "camber" was with in specs., the bad part was I could no longer use my "strut tower brace"! I was charged a lot of money because of all the problems. Now I have a "QA1" strut tower brace that cost me over $300 that I can no longer use!! Oh, for your information, the QA1 brace was the only one that would clear my hood with the Edelbrock supercharger.

    • Response from AmericanMuscle

You should still be able to use your strut tower brace with these caster camber plates. Per BBK, you just have to remove the decorative top cover plate in order to install these plates with a strut tower brace. Hope this helps!

    Do your homework

These plates look great, that is until you take them out of the box. There's not enough rubber between the caster plate and the spring. You are not able to resuse most if not any strut tower brace. The two way adjustability was a great option for my lowered Mustang, but I will look into some others like Maximum Motorsports. Save your money on this one. Install was pretty straight toward, take your time and s few extra rubber band will help.

    Tire wear and handling

My 2006 Saleen had been lowered and began uneven tread wear on the front tires. This BBK product rectified that issue and improved handling.

    BBK CC plates

I Just recently had these cc plates installed on a 2010 mustang gt convertible, with eibach pro-kit springs and eibach struts and shocks! Fantastic ride! The performance shop i used adjusted the camber for a bit more of an aggressive handling! I am Very pleased with the set up i chose, but with one downfall, i was unable to keep my stock strut tower brace! It was gonna cost me another 500 bucks for the shop to machine the existing one to fit! So I'm on the hunt for a brace that fits!

    Noisy and flimsy

I bought these a while ago (2015) and have had nothing but trouble with them from the start. The construction isn't very solid around the ball bearing and they can separate quite easily (accidentially pushing down on them during installation on the strut was enough) the result is they do have quite a bit of play still which seems to result in metalic knocking sounds every now and then which have been driving me crazy (tightening all bolts again will help for a bit, but even locktite will not last forever) I have just installed another set from Maximum Motorsports and you can feel the difference already when unpacking the units. They are sturdy and quite heavy and leave a lot of clearance for the top strut nut (another nightmare to deal with during installation.... the clearing on the BBKs is so narrow that it's impossible to fit a wrench for leverage and torque it to spec. Another possible source of my knocking nightmares.) All in all for the money i'm not overly impressed by them and while they got my camber back into spec the constant worry about noises in a car isn't worth my sanity.
