With this fit with slp loudmouth axle backs on a 06 mustang gt

V8chrome

  • Your axle back would bolt up to your flow tubes leading to the mid-pipe so you could use this x-pipe with no problem. If you do use this though, you also need the BBK Long Tube Headers for proper fitment. It's not the correct length to bolt to stock manifolds or shorty headers! Hope this helps!

Do I need the o2 sensor extensions that come with the bbk long tube headers along with the ones that come with the bbk shorty xpipe?? I bought a used set of the bbk long tube headers for my 07 gt from a good friend of mine and the only thing he was missing was the o2 sensor extensions so I planning on buying some but I noticed that the BBK off road shorty xpipe Im buying comes with o2 extensions and it looks to me that both parts come with their own set of the o2 extensions. do I need both or are the extensions that come with this xpipe enough? If that makes sense haha. Thanks!

Baloo1423

  • You need 4 extensions only 2 come with the xpipe you still need the upstream extensions

Question Resolved

Will these x-pipes fit the pacesetter long tube headers???

Mariov

  • For proper installation we highly recommend using the same manufacturer for the headers and the mid-pipe due to manufacturing tolerances. PaceSetters headers are designed to work with the mid-pipe specifically, and the BBK mid-pipe is designed to work with their headers specifically.

Question Resolved

will my corsa exhaust work with this? i have a stock 07 gt with corsa cat back exhaust- i want to do the bbk long headers with the shorty x-pipe and was curious if my corsa exhaust would still work will all of this?

sandro

  • Unfortunately, we have not tested the Corsa Cat-back systems with the BBK Off-Road X-Pipe for long tube headers, as we do not carry it, however, as long as the Corsa Cat-back accepts the step down from the BBK Off-Road X-Pipe, it will fit well.

I use to have the catted shorty x mated with BBK long tube headers, but the offroad x is the way to go. Much deeper, more aggresive exhaust note. I have a tune on my car, so no cel at all. This is a much better choice than a catted one, however, its good to have the catted one as a backup for inspections

    o/r x pipe

the bbk o/r x pipe is the best compliment to the bbk long tube headers. I also have a catted x pipe, but i'll tell you that the o/r x pipe sounds waaaayy better. You get a much deeper growl and turn heads everywhere. I have zero dislikes about this part. If you are a DIY person like me, its as simple as jacking the car up, crawling underneath and undoing a few bolts...very simple. This along with an SCT bama tune from AM, no CEL, and superb drivability. There is also no drone in my car either. I highly recommend this product if you want your mustang to sound badass

    Didnt match

I have ordered BBK x-pipes before and all have matched up perfectly, this one did not. The miss match is about 1/2 an inch, so I had to get is custom fitted to the car. Have the install done by a pro may cost a little bit more but its worth it.

    BBK Shorty X-Pipe (Off-road)

I just installed this midpipe with the BBK ceramic long tubes. The off-road midpipe is an excellent complement! Without cats the car roars and sounds very aggressive! It was a very easy installation. Only took about 20 minutes after installing the headers. Make sure and get a set of O2 sensor extensions though! Great product, great buy!!!

    Bang for your buck

I just bought the BBK longtube headers with the BBK off-road X-pipe,and boy what a difference. Can feel the extra horsepower that was robbed from the dealership. To feel the true power you will need the SCT tuner.I already had Aero Turbine mufflers on and now it is really loud. Thanks AM

    Bad luck at first

I purchased the offroad shorty X pipe and long tube headers by bbk a week ago. I tried to install them myself and was making good headway until I broke the dip stick tube flush at the block. After spending about 4 hours trying to pull it and a bunch of words that begin with F I gave up and had it towed down the road to a shop a mile away. They had to drop the cross frame to remove the oil pan and dig it out from the under side... For anyone who tries to remove the dip stick you have to pry it out with a flat blade screw driver or similar tool. After they installed it I was very happy with the sound. I was worried that it would be too high pitch because the YouTube videos with the stock mufflers don't do it justice. But after all was said and done I am extremely happy with the product and especially the customer service. I truly believe that the service that AM provides is a long lost attribute to this country. Thank you American muscle for your proud support.

    Amazing backfire

I paired this x-pipe with bbk headers and bassani axle backs and it sounds sinister! It backfires every time I downshift: it definitely turn heads. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants to raise the decibels on their stang by 150

    Bbk x pipe

Didnt quite fit like it was supposed to even with the bbk longtube headers, i had to heat up the hangers and bend then backwards and inwards so that the whoke x pipe could advance enough to connect to the headers. Other than that it is pretty much exactly as you would think an offroad x-pipe would sound, loud and raspy. I currently am using it woth the longtube headers and mac axel back but will probably put a muffler delete on soon!

    Great with one set back

This off-road xpipe is fantastic and definitely worth the purchase. With ease of Install and the sound is great except for one thing, the raspiness of it is just a little to much i like a little bit but sometimes it can be too much and it makes it sound a bit stupid but other than that its great and i did expect it to have rasp but not as much

Very Disappointed in BBK with this product.

After about a year of having this product installed, I have noticed that the weld that should hold the "x" portion of the exhaust pipe together has come apart. I am very disappointed with this product. I have been very loyal to BBK when building my GT (CAI, throttle body, long tube headers, and this x pipe). I had my car on a lift while changing the oil and noticed a half inch gap between the pipes. This completely defeats the purpose of an exhaust system and now I will be required to buy another x pipe. I will definitely not purchase another BBK product.

fit could be better, with headers helps make a mean sound

Installed with BBK long tube headers. distance between flanged end was at least an inch too narrow compared to the headers. Had to use powerful legs to spread enough to bolt on. Also had to bend hanger rods away from transmission support. Otherwise ok. Tough to say if it sounds different than an H pipe since I installed at the same time as the headers. Definately sounds tougher as a system. A little deeper, more raspy, but quiet cruising. Nice at WOT.
