Hey guys. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and installing the BBK titanium oil separator for 2011 to 2017 GT Mustangs. This is gonna be a direct fit replacement thanks to your stock style lines and your stock style quick connect fittings on this. This has a three-ounce capacity, and it is a filtered oil separator. So oil separators are a good modification for any application, even a completely stock car. This costs about $140, and it's very easy to install, thanks to these fittings. I'll call it a one out of three wrenches in the difficulty meter, and we'll show you how to get it on your car now. All right, guys, to start the install, we are gonna remove the engine cover. Now, we can pull the engine cover without removing the strut tower brace. We have a little bit of room there to wiggle it out. So we're just gonna go ahead, pull up on the corners, and the engine cover will pop right off. So the BBK oil separator is simply gonna replace our factory PCV line right here. This comes off really easily. There's a grey tab, you'll just press the grey tab and it'll pull right off the fitting. So press the grey tab and it'll be able to lift off. The same thing for the other end, there'll be a grey tab, and just press the grey tab and pull the line off. So the whole point of an oil separator is to separate the oil vapors from the air and the other gasses that are passing through your PCV line. It's gonna keep the oil trapped behind in the canister and allow the air and the gasses to pass through into your intake manifold. That means no oil residue or gumming up in your intake manifold. You guys can see that the BBK here does have a two-piece design. You guys do wanna make sure when you're shopping for an oil separator or a catch can, that you get one with a filter inside. If we unscrew the BBK, you can see that it does have a filtration system inside, which is a good thing. This is also how you're gonna empty your catch can or service it. You're simply gonna unscrew the bottom and then empty it out. The BBK also has a stock style line with the stock style quick connection. You guys can see just how similar these are. It does have two pieces to the line, so let's go ahead, get the BBK assembled, and get it in the car. All right, so to assemble the BBK oil separator, you're gonna want the BBK logo facing you. From there, you have two separate sides of PCV hoses. You're gonna want the straighter side to the left, and your curved hose is gonna go on the right. So we have our straight hose on the left here. We will go ahead and throw this in. Keep in mind that the end of these fittings will rotate slightly. All right. And our curved hose is gonna go on the right side. So go ahead and get that threaded in. All right, guys, like I said, keep in mind that these will rotate slightly. One other thing to keep in mind is the lines right now are very stiff. So if you go to install this and it's sitting kind of funky, just know that once this has some heat pass through, these will soften up a little bit and it will sit a little bit better. All right. And now we're ready to put this in the car. This is gonna sit exactly where our stock line sat. We are just going to clip it into place, and that's it. All right, guys, that's gonna wrap up this review and install. Keep in mind that you can always check this out more online right here at americanmuscle.com.

      Description

Unhindered Performance. Ford Mustangs are known for their thrilling speed and performance, so when you’re driving your Mustang, you expect second-to-none performance. One thing that gets in the way of this performance is oil buildup in your intake, which is caused by oil vapor coming off the crankcase that migrates to the intake via the PCV system. This oil buildup can hurt your Mustang’s overall performance by decreasing efficiency, lowering octane levels, and diluting gas. Protect the performance of your Mustang by investing in the BBK Titanium Oil Separator.

Efficiency Protection. This oil separator kit is made of lightweight billet aluminum that is anodized to create a sleek, titanium gray finish. It works by pulling out and catching the oil from the vapor coming off the crankcase into a canister. With this oil filtering, the vapor that is re-burned when it reaches the intake valve doesn’t create oil deposit sludge that cakes up in the intake valve and impedes engine performance. This keeps the engine performing efficiently, maintains optimum octane levels, and also protects the throttle body from oil buildup.

Easy Installation. This kit directly plugs into your Mustang’s current PCV system and comes equipped with a new line and fittings. The easy, tool-free installation of this kit takes approximately 30 minutes.

Application. The BBK Titanium Oil Separator for the Passenger Side will fit all 2011-2017 Ford Mustang GT models.
