Billet Headlight Switch Installation Guide

The below installation instructions work for the following product:

    Here at American Muscle, we're all about DIY (do it yourself). Of course, there's nothing wrong with seeking out a little bit of tech help prior to taking on an installation on your own. Our Mustang installation guides will provide valuable instructions and hopefully answer any how-to questions that you may have along the way.

    This installation can pose a problem for those who dont know how to remove the headlight knob. Ford uses a locking tab in order to secure the knob. Once the tab is released, you're done!
    Tools Required:
    • One small flathead screwdriver
    1. Take your headlight knob and pull it all the way out so your headlights are turned on.
    2. If you look on the side you will see that there is a small tab that retains the headlight knob in the bezel. Take your flat screwdriver and push that tab in.
    3. Remove your factory knob.
    4. Take your new headlight knob and slide it onto the rod that is now sticking up and out of your interior trim.
    5. Keep the post in the "ON" position (pulled all the way out). Use the supplied allen screw and key and tighten the set screw until the knob is firmly attached to the mounting post.
