Description
Custom Styling. Give your Mustang a race-ready, "big brake" look with a set of black Mustang Caliper Covers. Whether you're setting off some aftermarket rims or just adding some custom style, a set of caliper covers will give you a look that's sure to turn heads.

Reduces Brake Dust. These Caliper Covers not only look fantastic, but they act as a dust shield to keep your rims looking cleaner longer.

Quality Construction. MGP makes their Caliper covers from light weight 6061-T6 Aerospace Aluminum that is formed to the caliper for a perfect fit. The covers are then powder coated for a long lasting high gloss look. The installation brackets are TIG welded in place for extra security.

Easy No Mess Install. Painting your calipers can be messy and time consuming, but the MGP Caliper Covers simply install over your stock calipers and are held in place with the supplied clip and bolt. For a no muss, no fuss install.

Application. Designed to fit over stock brakes, this set of four MGP caliper covers include all the required hardware needed for installation on 2011-2014 GT and V6 Mustangs. Does not fit Shelby GT500, BOSS 302 or Brembo equipped GT models.

Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m checking out MGP’s front and rear caliper covers, fitting all 2005 and newer Mustangs. So here’s the deal, an aftermarket big brake kit is not exactly cheap, and painting your factory calipers can sometimes not give you the results you’re looking for. These covers from MGP are a great way to cover up those ugly factory calipers, while adding a little customization and helping to reduce the brake dust on your wheels. The covers are offered in a red or a black powder coat and with a number of different logo options. We have a couple here on the table including the red GT logo, the complete black Cobra setup, the red running Pony logo, and the black 5.0 logo, just to name a few. Taking a closer look at the calipers you’ll first notice a very durable T6 aluminum construction, along with that powder coated red or black finish. In addition we have the officially licensed logo right in the center, along with some simulated hardware for a more realistic look. The installation really isn’t all that bad and should take you about an hour from start to finish. Of course you will need to remove your wheels just to gain access to the calipers so make sure you have your jack handy. In addition you’re going to want to make sure 3/8” wrench just to tighten up the hardware on the covers themselves, but other than that everything is completely straightforward. So if you’re tired of looking at those rusty factory calipers and you don’t feel like forking out big dough for an aftermarket big brake kit, you’ll want to look into MGP’s caliper covers available right here at AmericanMuscle.com

what are the wheel spaces for?

  • A minimum of 1/8" clearance between the wheel and the brake caliper is required for proper fitment. We've found that these covers require the use of a small 1/4" spacer to provide proper clearance with our aftermarket Bullitt wheels. That is why we have the accessory option drop down. Hope this answers your question!

Question Resolved

Caliper Covers from 05-09 I recently traded my 09 GT for a 13 GT and took my covers off the 09, will these fit on the 13 GT as well, aren't they the same size? Thanks

Will these cause the brakes to overheat?

ZSGT

  • While I've never put a temperature gauge on them, I can say that I drive pretty aggressively and use the heck out of my brakes and haven't experienced any brake fade. At least not more than I had stock. I've had them for over a year and have had no warping or problems of any kind.

    Caliper Covers Look Great!

Installation tricky , i installed between wheel spokes , left tires on car. Fronts a little difficult , about 15 minutes per wheel , rears are easier to install , smaller parts , 10 minutes per wheel. Removing four wheels would take too long , but install would be simple. But you only install once . you admire covers -Forever. They Look Great!

A little overpriced, but quite an eye catcher

I just bought some new wheels so I decided to go all out and get these caliper covers as well. They were easy to install and they make a very noticeable visual difference. If you're like me and you're worried that no one will notice them, you can put that to rest. I had had them not even 24 hours and got 3 people ask me about them. I do think they're a little over priced because I can't image they cost more than like 20 bucks to manufacture, I also think they're awesome and given the chance to do over, I would definitely buy them again. Love em!

    ULTIMATELY REMOVED

I bought these a while back and installed on my 2013 GT convertible. Yes, they looked good, but after a short while I noticed a constant 'clicking' noise whenever I steered left, especially in a parking garage or close to a jersey barrier, where the echo allowed me to clearly hear it. I did everything possible to adjust the left read cover. For whatever reason, neither I or my local shop could adjust it to the point where there was no rubbing against the wheel. And the chirping noise eventually drove me nuts. So, I finally removed the cover and did what I should have done in the first place: I painted the calipers. Since I have a deep impact blue car, I went with bright yellow paint, and I love that look. The caliper covers are okay, but pretty expensive, and the mounting hardware is not all that great. Overall, clearly I am not happy with this product, nor happy with the now wasted money...

Black caliper covers with Mustang & 5.0 logo.

The installation is pretty straight forward, but some adjustments were needed to get the caliper covers to fit. It was more work to get the car off the ground & the wheels off than it was to install the covers . . . Nice finish and Worth the effort.
