How To Install aTruCarbon Carbon Fiber Armrest Cover and Extension on Your 2010-2014 Mustang

Installation:
1. Open up the center console and find the 7 Phillips
head screw underneath the console lid. There are 4
around the edge that secure the stock rubber
console cover to the lid and 3 that secure the console
release button to the lid. Remove them all and put
aside. Remove the console release button and also
set aside.
2. Next, gently pull around the edge of the rubber
console cover. It has a slight lip that grips around the
lid. Work your way around the outside edge until it
comes off completely, exposing the bare lid.
3. Using the supplied alcohol pads, wipe down the surface of the lid where the adhesive strip from the carbon console cover is to adhere.
4. Pull the blue backing from the carbon console cover and prepare to install. Start by making sure the bottom edge (closest to the backseat) is straight and aligned and work your way towards the front of the lid. It should be a snug fit and may take a little bit of wiggling to secure. Once your placement is how you like it, apply pressure to the outside of the carbon piece for 30-40 seconds to make sure the adhesive sticks.
5. Now it is time to install the carbon extension cover. Gently pry the stock cover off using a flat head scredriver.
6. The back of the Trucarbon cover has prongs similar to the stock cover. The prongs on the Trufiber piece are metal and can bend to ensure a custom fit. Without taking the backing off the adhesive, make a couple of trial fits while gently bending the prongs to fit your vehicle. Once you find a nice fit, remove the adhesive backing and install.
7. Your install is now complete! Enjoy your new carbon armrest cover and extension courtesy of your friends at American Muscle!
