    EZ Install and great Fit

WHile most aftermarket parts can sometimes say bolt-on, and end up needing modifications to fit, this is truly a bolt-on part with great fit, style, and real carbon fiber to boot.

    Amazing carbon hood vents

these hood vents stick out because everyone loves carbon. it brings out the the stock hood vents and makes the hood look great. now i won't have to buy a full hood, and I'm pretty sure because they're carbon that adds like 25whp right ;)

    2013 ingot silver GT

Product was delivered well packaged, and in a timely manner. Installation was was a breeze, even though it didn't come with directions. Fortunately I was able to get advice from other reviews. The Carbon fiber looking absolutely amazing, with the silver contrast. The vents are a well made product, and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering painting their vents.

    Perfect Accent

Though there are no instillation instructions but it becomes evident once you see the back of the carbon fiber louvers. The removal of the stock louvers was simple, only requiring a 9mm wrench and some patience. Remove the hood heat shield to access the nut and clips of each louver. Remove nut and with even pressure, push in the clips to release the louver. Clean the lips on the opening with supplied wipes and remove two sided tape. Put in clip first at the top and allow nut post to slide in bracket. Tighten nut and its done. Replace hood heat shield and stand back and admire just how good it looks. It took me a little over an hour to finish but that was because I was methodical with each step.

Pricey for a nice looking feature that is different

The product was of excellent quality but the 3M tape doesn't work that well because of the curve of the hood. Good thing there is a clip on the nose and a nut to secure it in place. It's a nice different look that doesn't jump out but adds that touch of class.

Looks great but not worth the price

The installation is easy, too easy, I am very concerned that the tape will not stand the test of time and why not manufacture them to the same specs as the original, to be held in place with clips. One of the vents has a defect, almost a crack in it that I discovered a couple of days after putting them in. I like the look but not so sure about the quality

    true bolt on

Unlike the trucarbon steering wheel inserts which left a huge gat on the back side of the steering wheel. These vents fit perfectly. Removing the heat shield wasn't difficult but it did take some time to pull the plastic pins out (twisting theM helps so you don't damage them). The original vents have clips running around the vents. I found unbolting the 9mm nut first and then using a flathead (small one) screw driver to push in the clips that hold them in place (starting nearest the bolt) to be the easiest way to remove the stock vents. Just be careful when you get to the last clips furthest from the bolt or the vents will pop out and possibly damage the clearcoat. Once this is done its a good idea to examine the underhood for any bubbling (mine had none and the seams looked good). use the alcohol prep pads that come with the vents to clean the lips thoroughly. The bolt assembly will have to be transferred over to the new vents. that small flatness screwdriver will work here too. Lift one side of the bolt clip and wiggle. Then the other side until it pops out. Install on the new vents. Now apply the adhesive promotor and remove the backing for the sticky tape While you wait for the adhesive promotor to set up. Now when installing the vents do it clip side first. Push the vent as far forward towards the clip side and then lay it down so that the bolt assy. Goes into the slot. You can make minor adjustments for a minute or sI until they sit properly. Note: on the passenger side you will need to pop off the windshield washer hose and foam as it attaches to the bolt. It is not difficult. Do not over tighten the bolt on reinstall or The part where it attaches will bend. Make it snug but not super tight. I still believe these vents would have been better with some mesh to keep debris out. But they fit very well on a 2014 Mustang GT and look great with the SGM paint And black iinterior. The CF mirror covers would be a nice addition with these if there weren't fitment issues with those as well, however there is a set of full replacement CF side view mirror housings that AM might want to offer. They are more work to install and more expensive but there are no fitment issues.
