Ask a Question

can i use these with stock lifters and stock pushrods with a e303 cam?

tylerdvorak

  • You can use the stock lifters. I would recomend upgrading to roller rockers when putting in a slightly bigger cam. Then once the new rockers are in you must check t he push rod length. To check the push rod length adjust the rockers. Then turn the motor over by hand until the valve spring is fully compressed. You want the tip of the rocker close to the center of the valve tip.

i am just curious, I recently purchased the b303 and was wondering if these springs will work good with that cam.

Jimmy

  • I do not suggest using these Springs with a B303 cam. A B303 is a stock upgrade cam. These Springs have a dual spring/ beehive design which is meant for a very large cam. I suggest going with stock replacement Springs.

  • Unfortunately, the O.D. is too big, which will require you to machine the spring pocket.

valve spring question will these valve springs work with a xcam with trick flow heads?

ah64crewchief

  • HI, These Comp Cams Valve Springs - 16 are compatible with all 3 of comp cams hydraulic roller EFI Xtreme Energy camshafts for push rod 5.0s, We can not confirm fitment with trick flow heads because trick flow uses specific valve springs in some of their heads.
