Description
Best of Both Worlds. Now you can have the benefits of solid motor mounts for racing and the comfort of stock rubber mounts for daily street driving with the Competition Engineering Engine Torque Link Kit. How it Works. It all starts with the installation of two supplied mounting brackets. One goes on the front of the driver's side cylinder head and the other installs on the sway bar mount on the frame. For race applications the removable Torque Link installs with the included clips and pins, to limit the movement of the engine. When the race is over simply remove the Torque Link for a smooth ride home.

Application. This Engine Torque Link Kit is designed for use on the 1979 to 1993 Foxbody Mustang equipped with the iconic 5.0L V8 engine.

Torque Link Kit

Works as advertised. Quick bolt in that looks great. After breaking motor and trans mounts on launches this was needed. I drive my car everywhere and don't like the extra buzz/vibration from solid or urethane

    Close but no cigar

    April 02, 2012

The overall quality of this is pretty high, but the bolt holes didn't match up exactly. I wasn't satisfied with the way it bolted up to the engine so I made my own bracket for that purpose. I also decided to make it more permanent until I get the time and money to replace the motor mounts so I bolted it together instead of using the pins. The results are great though, I have heard of others going to a tractor supply shop and making their own for a little more trouble but for about half the price.

    Nice Product

    September 12, 2011

Overall a good and long overdue investment for me. I was fearing that I had a motor mount breaking - and was not ready to put in solid mounts. I purchased the torque link so I can take it off for street use. It seems like some of the cars consistency has come back! VERY easy to install (especially since I have no A/C. P/S or sway bar!) Would recommend to anyone!
