Justin: The Covercraft Premium Custom-fit Noah Car Cover here will be one of the nicer options in the category when it comes time to protect your 2015 and newer fastback from the elements. Now, the Covercraft will feature the company's patented Noah fabric which is gonna resist moisture on the outside while at the same time allowing moisture and condensation to escape from the inside. Price point is gonna hover right in that mid $200 range and the install is gonna be easy enough for my toddler to tackle. So, expect the soft one out of three wrenches here guys and no more than a few minutes from start to finish. So, Covercraft is easily one of the biggest names in the automotive cover category and have been around doing their thing for over 50 years now. Their support for the S550, in general, I would say is pretty strong with covers like the deluxe custom fit option with a few different logos available and then there's the granddaddy of them all, right? The Noah custom-fit cover in gray here which will arguably be one of the better covers available in the category and it really should be given the money you are spending. Now, the Noah name actually pertains to the company's patented material used on this particular cover and it really is what makes this option unique compared to Covercraft's more affordable deluxe option that you'll also find here on the site. Now, that Noah material is actually four different layers kinda baked into one and Covercraft is gonna call it highly water-resistant but not waterproof. Honestly, guys, it's the closest thing you're gonna get short of throwing a tarp on your car which, by the way, you should never do. But the magic with the Noah fabric guys really comes down to the internal layer which you really cannot see here to the naked eye and that's gonna be what Covercraft calls their internal film barrier which basically allows this fabric to breathe, but those holes in the barrier itself are so small, they're microscopic, they're even smaller than a droplet of water or even specks of dirt. So, that's what's gonna allow this cover to be impenetrable to most outside elements including rain and snow but also larger stuff such as tree sap and bird poo while at the same time being UV-resistant. And that's always something worth pointing out as well. But aside from the Noah fabric here which is arguably the best thing about this particular cover, Covercraft is also gonna deliver things like overlap, double-stitched seams in addition to elastic which has been sewn into both the front and rear of the cover to keep it from flapping around once installed. And if you're really worried about this thing flapping around on you or coming off in a windstorm, Covercraft takes things a step further, includes a couple of grommets here that can be used as a tie down in very extreme situations. But that shouldn't really be an issue for you guys because I've had plenty of experience with Covercraft stuff on my own Mustangs at home. And when they custom-fit, they really do mean it. This thing does fit like a glove once it's installed and really does help prevent it from flapping around during a stiff breeze. Now, the covers do get backed by a four-year limited warranty and they are washable. In fact, Covercraft is gonna recommend washing the cover at least twice a year here depending on your usage, mainly if it's kept outside. On the other hand, if this is just more of a garage cover, then once a year would certainly be sufficient. Now, as for actually washing the cover itself, well, you wanna use one of those big commercial quarter machines along with a little bit of simple green and then hang dry this for the best results. But now we're actually gonna show you how well this thing fits on one of our own fleet cars here in the shop. So, withot further ado, check out the quick walkthrough.Man: All right. First, we're gonna take the cover and lay it on the ground. Find the front and the back. Just open it up. So, it looks like this is going to be the front. You can see our mirror cutout right there. All right. Now, what I'm gonna do is lift one side over this, we're gonna start on the back, bring it towards us. Like I said, just lift that one side over and we can work on bringing the rest of it over. And what's nice about the new S550s is they don't have the antenna on the rear or on the front quarter panel. Let's get our mirrors in place. And that's gonna help lock the cover in place while we shift it around. All right. Then we're gonna take the corners and we're going to go over the chin split over there. Do the same in the back. All right. Now, this cover is equipped with a little hole here and a piece of rope. What that is for is if you live in a windy area and you don't want your cover flapping around, you can actually tie this down. So, what I'm doing is just putting a simple square knot in this. I'm going to run the rope right back under to the other side and tie that side down as well. All right. Now, we're gonna reach back under and grab our line. Then we're gonna do the same thing over here. Run it through this little grommet here and we're just gonna make that pretty tight. Again, this is to deter any wind. And then make sure the cover is not flapping in the breeze. All right. That's gonna wrap of my install of this Covercraft custom-fit car cover. And for all things Mustang, keep it here at americanmuscle.com.
