Two pods on an A- pillar

The new pillar with pods matches OEM pillar exactly. My Ford racing electric oil pressure guage and voltage meter look awesome during day or at night.

Can't beat the match, great pillar!

This is absolutely an OEM match to the light stone color and was a breeze to install once the old one was removed. I matched this up with the dual interceptor gauges and they look sharp with the black fronts. My only gripe is that I had to shim my one interceptor gauge into the bottom pod. The top one installed snug and did not have a single wobble. When i installed the bottom gauge it fell out under its own weight - so this one pod had a diameter issue. It was a simple fix shimming it, but for someone who is expecting a plug and play this wasnt the case for me. Aside from that very nice part!

    OEM look, easy installation.

This is the best gauge pillar on the market. Speed of Sound uses an OEM Ford pillar trim, then pop riviets dual or triple bullet pods (depending on what model you order) that are painted to match the interior color. The hardest part about installing this pillar is the wiring. Depending on the gauges you use, you might have to enlarge the hole to allow the connector to pass through. I used Autometers' Sport Comp II and Phantom II gauges which utilize an electrical connector that plugs into the back of the gauge and have sending units with OEM style electrical connectors. The holes needed to be Enlarged just enough to slip the sending unit's connector through. No biggie, just used a drill bit to enlarge the hole. The pillar installs just like the OEM piece because it is an OEM Ford piece. My gauges installed easily and were firm in the bullets/cups. You can rotate the gauges once installed, just takes some muscle to rotate them. I do not believe the gauges will come out from G-forces or hard launches at the track. Make sure you transfer the small rectangular piece of white foam from your old pillar to the new one. I just peeled the factory double sided sticky tape and put it in the same spot on the new SOS pillar. They indicate on the pillar where to put the foam. Fit and finish/color match with my Light Stone interior was a 100% match. Excellent product. Thanks American Muscle.

    Great Product!!

This pillar is not hard to install at all, only took me about 20 minutes to take off the old one and route the wires for my new gauges. The only downfall I would have to give it is the price, it is a little too much considering the material it is made of but other than that I would recomend if you need an 'out of the way' place to put extra gauges!
