Description
Get Improved Durability. The Exedy Hyper Single Disc Clutch Kit w/ Flywheel - 26 Spline is engineered for the optimization of your Ford Mustang's performance after moderate modifications, but doesn't require the clutch capacity required of a multi-plate clutch. Featuring a six-pad design, this clutch is designed for high-heat resistance and low wear. Its reduced weight creates lower inertia and results in quicker shifting. Best of all, that annoying rattle noise that is typically seen in lug drive-type clutches is eliminated due to improved disengagement.
Heavy-Duty Construction. The purple, anodized, forged aluminum cover is stiffer than the stamped-type cover. Its extra capacity will hold race or street car power upgrades. The superior strength of the cover means no clamp-load deflection. The integrated turbine-like fins create enhanced airflow and keep the clutch assembly cooler for an extended life.
Forged Chromoly Flywheel. Especially designed for drag, high-performance street racing or rally racing, the Exedy Hyper Single Disc Clutch Kit w/ Flywheel - 26 Spline combines high-heat capacity with low weight, which means less inertia, improved throttle response and snappy shifting. An added plus is that this flywheel, like all Exedy Chromoly flywheels, is SFI 1.1 certified and approved.
6-Puck Cerametallic Disc. The premium disc featured in the Exedy Hyper Single Disc Clutch Kit means improved durability due to the smaller, yet stronger damper disc size which is specially engineered for the Hyper Single clutch. The high-friction, coefficient, low wear and special heat-resistant materials result in improved shift responses which create quicker gear changes.
High-Friction, Coefficient. High Friction, Coefficient and low wear; a special heat-resistant material [T5001] has been applied to enable the clutch size to be reduced which in turn, lowers mass inertia and improves shift responses for faster gear changes, particularly in racing applications.
