With the factory timing gear setup, you can't tune your camshaft timing - a critical need when doing mods that can change your camshaft-to-crankshaft centerline position. So get the most out of the power your mods have to offer and invest in these adjustable gears to ensure you'll get maximum tire-smoking power.

12 Degrees Of Adjustability. These Fidanza gears offer up to 12 degrees of advance or retard, for a total of 24 degrees of adjustability. Compatible with the Ford OE timing chains, these gears also come with the proper sensor to be installed in exactly the same way as the factory gears.

Premium Quality. Fidanza cam gears are precision CNC machined from lightweight high grade 6061 T6 aluminum for an exact fit. The outer gear teeth are beveled for increased belt life and hard anodized coated for better durability.

Application. This pair of Fidanza Adjustable Cam Gears is designed for SOHC and DOHC 4.6L V8 Mustangs, including the GT, Bullitt, Mach 1 and SVT Cobra models. Includes Right Side and Left Side gears.

Technical Note. These Cam Gears are designed for the bolt-on style camshafts found in Romeo Block. Not compatible with Windsor Block press-on style.

do you need these should/do you need these when you buy the comp cams

  • You don't NEED them, but I strongly suggest them so the cams can be dialed in to ensure the most effective valve clearance. Otherwise you may be leaving a LOT of power on the table, or even run into valve clearance issues. Also, if you order theses, make sure the keyways that come with them are the same size, mine came with 1 that was too small and we had to call Fidanza to get another one... But if you plan on making big power with cams, you will need these!

Hello, I have a set of PI heads with stage 3 comp cams, that are going on my 97 GT. I bought a gear, chain, and tensioner set but noticed the gears aren't correct for the aftermarket cams, will these fidanza gears come with the proper key to lock onto the cams, and do I need a spacer for them? Where they are mounted seems very wide for how narrow the gears are.

    adjustable cam gears for 01 Cobra

    I ordered these to time my Stage 3 Comp Cams correctly... Had to have a shop degree them since I didn't have the means to do it myself. The instalation is pretty straightforward, but the keyways for the gears were not the correct size. After multiple phone calls to both AM and Fidanza, a new keyway was sent to my mechanic, but the whole process set my build back a few days... In the end, it all got figured out, AM was great in helping me solve the issue, but Fidanza needs to get there products correct.
