    Weight Loss and a Connection

This Flaming River rack was a much needed upgrade to my heavy and "slow" power steering rack. It installed perfectly and I am now able to "feel the road" like the description says. It is a much better connection. Manual racks are not the easiest when the car is stopped but once I get rolling I can't tell its a manual rack.

    Beautiful Product, High Quality Piece

I bought this rack for my 05 GT both to clean up some of the clutter in my engine bay and shed some weight. It ended up being 18 lbs lighter than the OEM equipment and also got rid of the fluid tank, lines, pump, etc. leaving the bay looking much better. My only complaint is it took some adjusting to get it to bolt in properly, which is not a big deal in any way it just took a little more time to install than I anticipated. I had to loosen the brackets and twist the rack down a bit for the shaft to clear the motor mount bracket on my UPR K-member. Once installed it looks great and so far steers easily, although my motor is not currently in the car at this time.
