Ask a Question

Additional parts needed? With an already installed Flowmaster American Thunder cat back exhaust kit, are there any further parts needed to mate the headers up to the exhaust kit?

Sdfaull

  • These shorty headers will bolt up in place of the stock manifolds and bolt directly to your mid-pipe. The Flowmaster AT Catback attaches to the other end of the mid-pipe so they won't affect each other. You won't need any additional parts for installation!

Question Resolved

Will these headers function with a borla exhaust? I have an 06 GT. and i bought it with a borla stinger catback exhaust already installed on it. ( One of the main reasons i bought it in the first place.) I was just wondering, sence this will be my first actual modification that i am doing to my mustang, if flowmaster headers will fit with a borla catback exhaust. If it is not the best choice, what route should i go header-wise?

Rogue4

  • Your Borla catback attached to your midpipe as does this set of Ceramic Shorty Headers on the other end. If you are planning to keep your mid-pipe as is, you could install any set of shorty headers without any trouble. The ceramic coated headers will keep your engine cooler than the chrome alternative. If you want to discuss other options, don't hesitate to contact our customer service. We'd be happy to help you find the best set for your application!

    Shorty headers

The product is outstanding, unfortunately FlowMaster said they're not making them anymore very disappointed in that. I bought the flow master ceramic Shorty headers because of the heat the ceramic is better and the way they look is outstanding. Because of the spaghetti Bends you need to insulate the AC line. Great product

    Flowmaster Shorty Headers

After wondering whether to go long or short tube headers I decided on Flowmaster shortys. As older person I didn't want to go very loud plus I like the ceramic look and the heat factor.Install was not to crazy about 7 hrs.In fact alot easier than BBK shortys installed on friends Mustang. Only thingI would make sure you wrap A/C line with insulation because of what I call spaghetti bends.Only problem is that I called Flowmaster about install and found out they are not manufacturing these headers anymore I think reason being most people like to go with long tubes plus cost factor but if you're looking for shortys this is the way to go.Performance is better than before with Ford racing cams plus Ford intake and a little deeper sound on Flowmaster exhaust. Thanks
