More Room. Adding a dual exhaust to your early Foxbody Mustang can be tricky because of limited space, but the Ford Racing Double Hump Adjustable Transmission Crossmember simplifies the installation of a dual exhaust system by providing the much needed room.

Adjustable. The Crossmembers outer tubes are not welded to the center support, so they can beadjusted to fit most popular engine and transmission combination's you want to install in your stang.

Fitment. This Ford Racing Crossmember directly fits all V8 Fox vehicles with a 4.5" dimension between the crossmember mounting brackets (1982-1993). It can also be used on Fox vehicles with a 2.75" mounting dimension by relocating the brackets (1979-1981).

will i be able to use this with a C-6 transmission in my foxbody im doing a i4 to v8 swap with my 89 lx hatch and the old crossmember is rusted out, and my new engine has a c6 on to her I needs to know if this will be able to work with the c6 or not

    No problems

    Fits great. Since its adjustable, you will need to weld the cylindrical mounts on either end to keep them from sliding back and forth.

    Double hump cross member 79-93 mustang gt

    The part was an exact fit form my 86 mustang GT. It was pretty easy to install and everything went together smoothly. You are one of only a few that sell this part and I would reccomend to keep selling it. It is a hard item to come buy and I am glad you had it available.     some lite welding needed... nothing a little mig welder couldnt handle..no more banging/clunking from tranny mount!! a great ford racing part

    Awesome fit.

    This crossmember is an awesome solution to anybody doing a trans swap. It is Adjustable and fits perfect. Be careful the edges are sharp though, I cut my finger installing it.

    Cant get much better

    The cross member fit perfectly and was easy to put in. I would recommend painting it before you install it just to make sure it doesn't rust on you right away.

    Perfect fit

    my old one rusted on one side still worked but started a small leak on my drive shaft cause it wasnt even and prolly really bad for my drive train so i replaced!! only downside is some welding required i welded my self but if u dont have the ability gotta drive it slowly to a shop comes with instructions

    Fox is a fox

    My 85 GT already has a double hum cross member. This one had actually gone in my 1985 Ford LTD LX when my friend and I converted it from a 5.0L roller HO with factory CFI (throttlebody) to 1989 Mustang 5.0L SEFI standards. Fairly easy since the car was already Fuel injected. But, I needed the double hump cross member for the h-pipe to fit proper. And of coarse you buy the Ford racing one because you know it will fit. It did. I had it welded in its proper position before bolting it up to the car.
