Ask a Question

dimmer/headlight switch is this the right switch that will fix my dashboard lights and a/c lights that went out?

  • Yes this will work as it not only turns the parking and headlights on, but is also the dimmer switch. I know its probably quickest to just replace this part rather than to check each bulb, but if possible be sure to check all your wiring, bulbs and fuses before replacement. Slowly pull out the headlight switch at night to turn on your headlights as when I do this, it makes my lights flicker because of a bad connection. If your dash lights work, even fo a second, then just replacethis part. Good luck.

My headlight switch went bad on the way to work. Super simple installation which took 10 minutes to install. Highly recommended and very budget friendly for a Ford Product! Works perfectly.

    Money Saver

Bought this because my lights just mysteriously stopped working one day. I'm so glad this was the solution to the problem because I had no idea where the source of the problem was. American Muscle to the rescue again.

    Great Item

I just replaced my oem switch after it started to fail. This product is a direct replacement and very easy to install. I like installing motorcraft parts in my vehicle, so that was a huge plus.

    Quick and Easy Restoration

Ever since I've had my car, my headlight switch didn't quite work right. There was some kind of spring that was tangled and broken inside my old switch. I ordered this with a new headlight switch knob. Was a pretty straight forward install. It only took me about an hour to replace both parts. I have to admit, there isn't much space in the dash for moving around. Just get everything all hooked up, put your faceplate back on, then pop the knob back in. I've been ordering from American Muscle for a few years now, and they have never let me down! Good job guys!

    Headlight Switch, 03 convertible

Great product. Very easy install. Simply remove four screws, two for the dash panel and two for the switch retainer, and it's plug and play. Maybe 10 minutes to complete.

    Shipping eh

The product came in a day earlier, however this small switch was in a big box with no protection. The switch was not in the manufacture and I was worried it was broken. It wasn't. Next time put some foam or peanuts please. Other than that works good.

    New switch

This was an easy fix, awesome product quality and it was at a great price for a brand you switch. My original switch broke out of nowhere and I was able to find and get a new one in the matter of days.

Must Have ... No more pliers on the passenger seat

I bought a used 98 GT and replace the headlight knob a week after I bought it. That lasted a month till it got cold and then the knob came off again. Soon the knob wouldnt stay on. I finally decided to buy a new know and stop using pliers to turn on my light but I decided to buy a new switch as well. My lights now come on with ease and my knob is secure. My dash light are also a little brighter as the dimmer was worn. This switch is improved over my original 98. You don't have to remove the knob from the post to install. Order this and the new know and put the switch in. (Two nuts) and then put your dash cover back in and slide the pole of the knob into the swtich. A little turn back and forth to find the right position and it will slide into the switch and lock. This has to be my favorite restoration item so far because I use it every day.
