What are the options for the "pedestal mount"? It would be preferable if it fit in the pillar gaurge pod, but would consider a pedestal of some sort, depending on location.

Does this work with an automatic transmission ? Does this work with an automatic transmission. I know this might seem stupid, why would anyone want that ? I currently have 3 FR gauges on the dash pod and am installing the Apillar pod as well. I have OCD and want all the gauges to match so need 1 more FR gauge. I did upgrade to 4:10 so might be cool to see the shift light. Clearly unnecessary, i understand, just want to confirm that it will work.

Does it fit an A-Pillar Gauge pod ? Will this fit the A-Pillar gauge pod offered on the AM website ? Or can it only mount on a dash deck ? Thanks in advance.

chriscarr86 Year: 2006 Model: Other

  • No, it will not as A-pillar gauges are 2 1/16" while this gauge is over 3". It will mount on the steering column or any other place you can get it to fit. Hope this helps Good Luck!

    Installing the Tach

Installing Tach After mounting the tach run the red wire to the passenger side fuse box. Using a 'add a circuit' find the 10 amp fuse that is next to big relay power fuse, and connect the red wire from the tach to it. Pop out the headlight switch to hook up the tach's light. Find the purple/white wire on back of switch. Connect the white wire from the tach to the purple/white wire. Run the black wire to a suitable ground. Installing the Tach Adapter. There is a wire connector on the passenger side located near the radiator. Disconnect the connector, find the yellow/green wire and cut it. Connect the red wire from the adapter to the cut end of the wire, closet to the plastic connector. Run the red/green wire from the adapter and connect it to the other cut end of the yellow/green wire. The green wire from the tach gets connected to the gray wire out of the adapter. Locate a good ground for the black wire. I used two sided tape and taped the adapter next to the shock tower.

    ford racing tach

Can\'t connect it, no wiring diagrams for mustang COP ignition. Autometer tech is no help. Have to figure it out on your own. Save your cash.
