Installation Instructions:

1. Disconnect the battery, negative terminal first to avoid accidental grounding while removing the positive.

2. Using either a Flathead Screwdriver or an 8mm socket, loosen the 2 hose clamps securing the air intake duct from the throttle body to the air filter box.

3. Disconnect the PCV fresh air inlet hose by pulling the green tab on the bottom outwards towards the ground, then pull apart to separate the connection. Remove the air intake duct.

4. Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors (throttle position sensor and throttle body throttle motor) by sliding the red tab outwards (away from Throttle Body) then depress the now exposed release tab and pull off the connector. Be gentle as these should come off very easily.

5. Using the 8mm and 10mm sockets, remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts from the top and bottom of the Throttle body. You will need an extension to reach the two 10mm nuts on the bottom.

6. Remove the Throttle body and check the gasket for damage; replace if necessary.

7. With the new Throttle Body in place, Torque the 2 nuts and 2 bolts down to 89 inch-lbs.

8. Reconnect the 2 electrical connectors by sliding them on until you hear a click, then slide the red lock back into place.

9. Re-install the air intake duct and tighten the 2 hose clamps using either a Flathead Screwdriver or an 8mm socket.

10. Reconnect the PCV fresh air inlet hose by pressing them together until you hear a click.

11. Reconnect the battery.

12. Remember to turn the key to the on position, wait a good 30 seconds, and then turn the key off again before attempting to start your mustang. This gives the computer time to re-initialize and calibrate your new throttle body.
