Kit Includes. This Ford Racing kit comes with all the components needed to swap out your ring and pinion gear. It includes Pinion and carrier shims, Crush sleeve, Pinion nut, Pinion seal, Ring gear bolts, and Cover gasket. No bearings are included in this kit.

Application. This Ford Racing Ring and Pinion Installation Kit is designed for use with 8.8in rear axle equipped Mustangs, including the 1986-2014 V8 and 2011-2014 V6 models. Works with both Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) and solid rear axles.

    Limited Pinion Depth

    This kit is good for the backlash shims however the pinion depth shims are limited with 5 shims from .011" to .021". The main part of setting up the ring and pinion is the pinion depth, not the backlash. I would "NOT" recommend this kit if your looking for perfection, if your looking just get them installed then this is the kit for you.

    FR Ring Pinion install kit

    Had a nice selection of shims to set the differential. Everything fit pretty seamless!

    Good product

    Had everything I needed to do a ring and pinion swap. Minus the bearings. But I already had some. I went from a 327 to a 411 gear set. Helped get my pinion depth were it needed to be and the back lash. I don't remember the add saying anything about the yellow gear pattern paint being in the kit, but it does come with some.
