Description
Additional Safety. Just the idea of a driveshaft failure while driving down your local highway is terrifying. Now imaging it happen at speeds in excess of 100 mph. A U-joint or driveshaft failure is a real concern to drag racers, as it could cause severe harm to themselves or to the spectators in the stands. That is why a safety loop is such an important piece of safety equipment. A Ford Performance Driveshaft Safety Loop is designed to safely contain your Mustangs driveshaft in the event of a failure that could otherwise cause a serious catastrophe.
Designed for Drag Racing. Ford Performance's Driveshaft Safety Loop meets most drag racing sanctioning body requirements. The NHRA requires the use of a driveshaft safety loop on vehicles running 13.99 on slicks and 11.49 on street tires in the quarter mile.
Ford Performance Quality. When you're adding performance parts to your Pony, you can't go wrong by installing parts from the folks that know it best. This Ford Performance Driveshaft Loop is constructed from 1/4" thick, heavy duty steel for superior strength and durability.
Bolt-On Installation With Drilling. Designed to be a bolt-on, Ford Performance's Driveshaft Safety Loop installs with basic hand tools in about an hour. There is some drilling that is required to complete the installation. All necessary hardware is included for installation.
Application. This Ford Performance Driveshaft Safety Loop is designed to fit all 2015 to 2023 Mustangs, including the V6, EcoBoost, GT GT350 and GT500 models equipped with either a MT82 manual or 6R80 automatic transmission and a one-piece driveshaft installed. Not for use with a two-piece driveshaft.
