Description
Locking Bolts. Securely mount your Mustangs manifolds or aftermarket headers by replacing that old weak stock factory hardware with high strength Stage 8 Locking Header Bolts. These Ford Racing Header fasteners will absolutely, positively not back out. Eliminates need to monitor and tighten bolts regularly.

Ford Racing Quality. Made in the USA from specially-engineered Grade 8 carbon alloy steel that features a duplex nickel plated finish to resist corrosion, these Ford Racing Header Bolts are hardened to a tensile strength of 150,000 psi to provide superior strength for long-lasting performance.

Application. These Ford Racing Stage 8 Header Bolts are designed for use on 1979 to 1995 Ford Mustang equipped with the 5.0L small block V8 engine, including the LX 5.0, GT and SVT Cobra models.

    An awesome product to keep pesky header bolts tight

    This product was an awesome addition to my Fox. Every time I happened to check the header bolts they were looses. So finally a bad header leak developed and I found one bolt had actually backed all the way out. So I picked up a set of header gaskets and these locking header bolts. The bolts are great, but if you are running BBK Equal length, you will not be able to use the 1" bolts on the forward hole of the #3 cylinder, the primary is at too tight of a radius to use the 1". So I still have the 3/4" fastener there.

    NO MORE LEAK!

    Great product, very easy to install. Just unscrew the old ones out and screw these in. I tried locktite on my regular header bolts and they still got loose. Now i dont have to worry about going back and tightening them to prevent an exhaust leak. They look good and they work awesome! Thanks AM!

    Save time and frustration...GET THESE BOLTS!

    So after installing new BBK Shorty Headers, I used my old crusty stock bolts to finish up the install. Big mistake! Since the header tubes are wider than stock, it was a pain to get the 9/16" wrench in there to tighten the bolts. Not only that, but eventually they started coming loose and I kept getting an exhaust leak. After much frustration, I saw these bolts and ordered them. BIG DIFFERENCE!. Not only are the heads a 7/16" which is easier to get a wrench in, you can get a socket on the bolt...and the head itself has a hex for an allen wrench. As if that wasn't awesome enough (cut my install time from 1 hour to 15 minutes, the locking clips keep them from backing out. AND....they look sexy as heck on my new headers versus the rusted bolts. Do yourself a favor...don't skimp like I first did and reuse the stock bolts...get these and you won't be sorry!!!!

    stage 8 header bolts

    these bolts are working great. if you have header bolts backing out all the time, try these bolts out and it should fix the problem.
