This is a brand new OEM Ford production 3-valve cylinder head casting that has been 5-axis CNC ported by Ford Racing to increase air flow and overall performance of your GT. Improved Air Flow. These ported Ford Racing heads have an intake port volume of 214cc (stock is 174cc) allowing for an intake flow of approximately 291 cfm at .600" lift and an exhaust port volume of 73cc (stock is 62cc) allowing for an exhaust flow of approximately 191 cfm at .600" lift.

Fully Assembled. Leak tested prior to assembly, each Ford Racing Head comes fully assembled with bronze guides, upgraded valve springs, light-weight steel retainers, locks, and seals. Does not include camshaft, followers, and hydraulic lash adjusters.

Application. This Ford Racing CNC Ported High-Flow Passenger Side Cylinder Head is specifically designed to be a direct bolt-on performance upgrade for the 2005 to 2010 GT and Bullitt Mustangs with the 4.6L 3-valve V8 engine.

These heads will fit early 3V engines originally equipped with the "High thread" style 16MM spark plugs, but will require 2008-2010 12MM spark plugs and ignition coil upgrades.

Engines with late style 12MM spark plugs can be identified by coil engineering number 8L3E.

Q & A (5 Questions, 2 Answers) Ask a Question

It's a long-shot This question is a long shot, but I have FRPP Cams, JLT CAI, BBK 62mm Throttle Body, LT Headers, High Flow Cats, and a Borla Cat-back. Dyno tuned I made 330hp to the wheels, about how much hp could I gain with these cylinder heads? I am trying to gauge if they are worth the money. I know i could make more hp with a super charger, but I'd like to keep my can NA if possible.

  • I'm going to take a guess and say about 35 rwh. You could call Ford Racing or look in their on-line catalogue for more details. In any case, they would certainly help create a better foundation for the supercharger of your choice. As to whether or not the heads alone, as opposed to the supercharger alone, there would be no comparison. The supercharger should be good for a minimum of 100rwh.

What else I was wondering what else would I need for these to be put on my car? What other parts? Do you need headers to make this work properly?

  • Ford tested a combo of: Ford Racing High Performance Intake Manifold Ford Racing Twin 62mm Throttle Body Ford Racing Hot Rod cams Ford Racing CNC heads Long tube headers AND it made 440HP (at the crank, so figure 385ish at the wheels). That is the direction I think I am headed. One day I WILL beat the 5.0 numbers (even w/ the 2015 GT stangs rated @ 435hp) with my 4.6 naturally aspirated. Once, I have that in the bag, it's time to get boosted ;-)
