Description
Great For Custom Builds. This production 4.6L SOHC 2V Romeo engine aluminum cylinder head is perfect for custom engine builds. When installed in a 1996-1998 GT it will raise the engines compression from 9:1 to 10:1.

Fully Assembled. Leak tested prior to assembly, each Ford Racing PI Head comes fully assembled with production Mustang GT valve train and camshaft.

Required Upgrade. When installing this PI Cylinder Head it is required to use a Ford Racing SOHC 2V 4.6L Head Changing Kit Ford Racing part# M-6067-D46.

Application. This Ford Racing Power Improvement (PI) Driver Side Cylinder Head is specifically designed to be a direct bolt-on replacement for the 1999 to 2004 GT Mustangs with the 4.6L 2-valve V8 Romeo engine.If this PI head is being used to upgrade a 1996-1998 GT, a PI intake manifold, head change kit and intake gaskets must be used, sold separately.

Technical Note. Requires installation of oil galley plugs (not included). Will not work on Windsor engines.

Fit great

Great product everything fit bolted right on. The only thing is does not come with oil galley plugs make sure you remove them from ure old heads and put in new heads.

One month after installation

This was my first SOHC heads swap. I went well and was very easy after I fully understood the instructions. I was suprised at how fast it hit the rev limiter on WOT. I learned to lighten up on the accelerator

    One month after installation

    This was my first SOHC heads swap. I went well and was very easy after I fully understood the instructions. I was suprised at how fast it hit the rev limiter on WOT. I learned to lighten up on the accelerator pedal and WOW!! What a difference!! I kept everything stock and my car runs perfect with the BAMA tune and gets great mpg when I'm light on the throttle. "Thank you" to the BAMA specialists and everyone at American Muscle for helping me build my dream car.
