Motive Gear 8.80-Inch Front Axle Ring and Pinion Gear Kit; 3.55 Gear Ratio (97-24 F-150)

Improves Performance. The ideal way to improve the performance of your four wheel drive F-150 for both on and off road use is by upgrading to a set of Motive's Stock Performance 3.55 Ring and Pinion Gears. Installing a set of higher ratio gears will allow your F-150 to enter into its power band quicker for a noticeable increase in low end torque and acceleration. A set of 3.55 Motive Gears are great for those drivers who like to take their daily driver off road on the weekends for a little fun.

Superior Construction. Motive Ring and Pinion Gears are CNC machined from high grade 8620 gear steel and factory lapped for a precise fit. Each set of gears are hardness tested prior to leaving the factory to ensure the highest quality possible. Unlike other aftermarket brands, Motive Gears do not have a reputation for annoying gear whine. Motive is so confident in the quality of their gears that they are backed with a 12 month, 100,000 mile warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Recommended Upgrade. Please note that when changing the gear ratio of your F-150's differential that the calibration of your speedometer will no longer be correct and will display the wrong speed. However, you can easily fix this annoying issue with a Handheld Tuner (sold separately).

Application. This 3.55 ratio Motive Gear Stock Performance Front Ring and Pinion Gear set will fit all 1997 to 2024 4WD F-150's equipped with a 8.8" (10 bolt) independent front suspension differential. A master bearing kit is recommended by most installers, especially on high mileage vehicles.

Please Note. If you are unsure if your F-150 has an 8.8 in. (10 Bolt) or a 9.75 in. (12 Bolt) differential, please check with your local Ford dealer to determine what rear is in your truck.

Technical Note. If your F-150 is a four wheel drive model, you will need to change both the front and rear gear ratios to match. Failure to do so will cause severe damage to both the transfer case and transmission. Installation costs will vary, but a good rule of thumb is between $250 and $300. Be sure to work with a reliable shop that you trust for installations.
