These Installation instructions work for all 99-04 Mustangs

Step One

(Optional) Remove Drivers seat by unbolting the 4 15mm bolts.

Step 2

Remove gear knob, shifter bezel, center radio bezel

Step 3

Unclip all accessories (Fog lights, trac cont., rear defrost, cig lighter)

Step 4

Unbolt 8mm bolts holding the radio unit in place. (They are the two outer bolts on the aluminum tabs)

Step 5

Gently remove the radio and unclip all radio harnesses and the antenna (Orange cord)

Step 6

Connect the black antenna cable to the radio; connect the orange antenna cable to the Hands free MP3

Step 7

(Optional) Using Zip Ties, hang the Hands Free MP3 Me from the radio mounting bracket

Step 8A

Start routing the cables where you want them to be accessed from. I later tucked the cord under the center console trim

Step 8B

Start routing the cables where you want them to be accessed from.

Step 9

Unwind the black and red cables, route the red cable to the fuse box under the driver’s side dashboard. You will need to bend the end a bit to get the fuse panel protector back on.

Step 10

Find a good ground point for the black wire. (I used this factory ground point on the right side of the Drivers Dash board, just past the OBD 2 jack.)

Step 11

Reverse steps 5 through 1.

That’s it; enjoy your smart phone or other device in the car! Be sure to set your device to 3⁄4 max volume.
