Description
Superior Stopping Power. Whether you're replacing worn-out stock pads or looking for an inexpensive way to improve your S197's stopping power, Hawk HPS pads are an affordable alternative to a complete brake upgrade. The Hawk HPS pads have a 20-40% better braking and higher resistance to fade than other replacement pads on the market for the stopping power you need, when you need it.

Street/Strip Use. Hawk HPS pads are a great balance of streetability and track performance. They're at their best once they're a little warm, but provide good stopping power even cold so you can drive them on your dual use street and strip 'Stang and still enjoy their performance advantages.

Reduced Brake Fade. If you like to take your Pony to the track or strip, you know that brake fade is your enemy. Hawk HPS pads are designed to resist fade more than other pads, ensuring consistent braking even when things get hot.

Less Noise & Dust. Hawk uses a unique Ferro-Carbon formula for increased stopping power, low brake dust, and less noise than dedicated race pads.

Application. This set of Hawk HPS pads is sold as pair for the rear only. It is designed to fit 2005-2012 Mustangs including the V6, GT, Bullitt, Boss 302 and Shelby GT500 models. Set includes driver-side and passenger-side brake pads.

  • Yes, they will fit. The rear brakes are not affected by the front Brembo Brakes and are all the same size. Hope this helps!

    Excellent street/track pad

I swapped out my OEM pads for the Hawk HPS prioir to a HPDE at Infineon Raceway. These pads provided awesome stopping power and I never felt any brake fade. I am a novice so my speeds weren't super fast but I felt a great deal of confidence approaching a hairpin turn at 120 mph knowing that when I hit the brakes, the car would slow! Good value and will easily last me through 3 to 4 more events.

    HAWK brake pads

I had Hawk brake pads installed on all 4 corners of my 06 Mustang GT in an attempt to improve my cars braking performance. The Hawks need to warmed up a bit before they really perform like they should but once up to temp I can tell a big difference in my cars stopping distance, and firmness of pedal feel. I have noticed no noise/brake squeal with these pads. I will most likely replace these with the same thing, when the time comes.

    On a DIME!!

I have the brembo upgrade and in driving the car hard; you see why getting a brake upgrade is necessary. The stock brakes are not bad but the hawk HPS's are much MUCH better. The amount of dust is way less than the stock brakes and as far as the noise goes, I cant tell due to my crazy loud exhaust. Even if there were louder. So what... These out perform anything on the market. So do yourself a favor and slap these babies on your stang. You can thank me later.

    Great grip!

Really very good pads. I'm on my 2nd pair front and rear, and I'm sure I'll have another set. They install easily, and handle everything you can throw at them; track days, drag strip deceleration and stop and go traffic. They handle heat very well, (although they do need a little heat in them for that first stop in the cold), and they do have good longevity, especially considering how hard they're used. My only compliant is that the do make a fair amount of brake dust, but that's a small price to pay for the excellent braking characteristics.
