How to Install Hotchkis K-Member Crossbrace - Manual on your 2005-2014 Mustang GT and GT500

Tools Required:

 Jacks with stands, car ramps, lift, some way to get access under the car safely
 15mm Deep Well Socket with ratchet
 H10 Allen Key Socket

1. Safely lift car using jacks and stands, use a lift, ramps, etc…

2. Find the factory cross brace. It is located near the front of the transmission. It is held in by four nuts.

3. Using a 15mm Deep Well Socket, remove all the nuts holding in the front brace. Remove the brace and store it. It will not be reused.

4. Place the new Hotchkis brace over the studs were the old brace was. Using the nuts you removed, put them back on but do not tighten at this time.

5. Using the new brace as a guide, find the holes where you will bolt in the new brace.

6. Place a spacer in-between the car and the brace, then using the supplied bolts and washers to mount the brace onto the car.

7. Using an H10 socket, tighten the back bolts. Tighten it using a ratchet.

8. Using a 15mm deep well socket, tighten down the four nuts holding the front of the brace.

9. Lower the vehicle. Enjoy your new brace.
