Reduce Body Flex. A Hotchkis Bolt-on K-Member Crossbrace is a great and easy way to add chassis rigidity to eliminate power robbing body flex and improve the handling of your Mustang. Bolt-on Design. This Hotchkis Mustang K-Member Crossbrace bolts up using existing stock factory mounting points with no welding, cutting or modifications required for a straight forward installation.

Quality Construction. Manufactured from laser cut 1/8" heavy duty steel plate for maximum ground clearance, this Hotchkis crossbrace is completed in a black powder coated finish for great looks and corrosion resistance.

Application. Hotchkis K-Member Crossbrace is designed to fit 2005 to 2014 manual V8 Mustangs, including the GT, Bullitt and Shelby GT500 models. Will

not fit V6 or automatic Mustangs.

Fit with Boss transmission cooler scoop? It looks like the front cross member of this piece is where the Boss transmission cooler scoop goes. Does that mean it won't work with it if I've installed the Boss cooler scoop?

    2010 GT Convertible

    I knew that the convert had extra bracing installed by FoMoCo when they built the thing, but I wrote to hotchkiss and asked if there'd be any further gain (I already installed a SR strut Brace). Hotchkiss' reply cliams that most of the OEM bracing is in the rear. So i took a shot and tried this brace. Not a huge gain, but definitely noticable. Particularly cowl flex reduction on 90 degree turns and NY potholes. My opinion is that this is not an absolute "must have", but for the reasonable price and the ridiculously easy installation (use the reader supplied install directions posted here - much better than those that come with the part) this piece is very much worth the effort and the $$. Comes with absolutely everything you need, right down to the blue thread locker. Tools: 15mm deep socket to remove factory brace, 3/4" sockets to install the front end of the brace (2010 requires the nut/bolt set supplied) and an H10 (3/8) hex for the rear end of the brace. That's it.

    Quality product I had it installed when I had my BMR Sub Frame Connectors WELDED ON AND THEY DEFINITELY COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER. If you are going to put sub frame connectors (WELD-ONS) on which is highly recommended anyway then this a great add on. Remember this mounts in part where the CS & FR boss 302 tranny cooler air scoop goes, food for thought.

    A must buy

    I was feeling under steer and the front fenders rolling over a little in the turns. All of my suspension mods have mostly been in the rear end so far. Lowering springs, rear lower control arms, rear upper control arm. This Hotchkis crossbrace made a noticeable difference and for the price you cannot avoid buying this. The car in the same turns is now much flatter, the fenders don't roll over and there is less feel of understeer. The feel is very noticeable and gives you much more confidence in the turns. There is no noticeable addition of NVH in the cabin. I don't see how you can't buy this.

    Tighten up the front!!

    I figured I would get this because it is fairly cheap, and the "pencil" brace that it replaces just looks weak and pathetic. Let me tell you that this Hotchkis brace is a piece of art, comes with everything you need, and is easy to install. In fact you will almost spend just as much time jacking up the car. Once installed your front end ( mainly steering) will feel tighter and stiffer when taking turns.

    Easy install, Looks great...

    Fit & finish are great, Install super easy and quick. Hard to be sure how much of a performance gain you achieve, But likely more than the OEM support tube..

    Great product, However needed modification for my setup

    The cross brace works great. However, in my case it needed modification. I have kooks long tubes with high flow cats. the cross brace didn't fit in place with the o2 sensor ports next to it. the spacers needed to be cut and the cross brace slightly bent with a metal bender. If you have aftermarket headers and cats, have this in mind. Aside from that, my o2 sensor ports weren't exactly aligned with one another. One was at an angle, instead of being straight. This was also part of the problem. A minor imperfection, that hindered the installation as a simple bolt on. This product is made with stock parts in mind.

    Don't buy

    This product didn't fit with my kooks x pipe. When I got a first look at it the medal was really thin and I could put it over my knee and bend it. I cant see what this part would do for my car with how thin it was. So I should be happy that it didn't fit. And I didn't like that they had big spacers as the mounting points instead of going right in place to the bolt in location. So it's just sitting in the corner now.
