  • Aggressive Muscular Stance
  • Improves Handling
  • Lowers Center of Gravity
  • Progressive Spring Rate
  • Estimated Drop: Front - 1.7”, Rear - 2.4”
  • Fits 2011-2014 Mustangs, excludes GT500
Improves Handling. The most popular progressive rate spring in H&R's line-up, Super Sport Springs will lower your Mustangs center of gravity, to reduce squat during acceleration, body roll in the corners, and excessive nose-dive under hard braking. Sport Springs feature more control than that of the factory springs, but are still comfortable enough for daily driving and occasional track use.

Aggressive Stance. The H&R Super Sport Springs not only improve the handling of your S197 Mustang, but they also improve the overall appearance by lowering the ride height approximately 1.7" in the front and 2.4" in the rear to eliminate that nasty raised 4x4 truck look for a more aggressive muscle car stance.

Application. This set of four H&R Super Sport Springs are designed specifically for use on the 2011-2014 Coupe and Convertible Mustangs, including the V6 and GT models. Does not fit the Shelby GT500.

Can a jack or ramps still be used with this ride height for home/basic work? Primarily I guess I just want to be sure that I will be able to still work on the car. I now use Rhino ramps or a hydraulic jack. Would they still fit?

  • You will need a low-profile Jack, but yes you can. If you're referring to the old-school red steel drive up ramps the answer is no. I work on my own car always, I use a lift ,it is no issue either.

    Great product, looks amazing!

My 11 gt/cs ride quality was effected but not terribly so. After installation I took it to get it aligned and was told I did not need to buy the adjustable panhard so the alignment went great. Makes the car take corners with ease and with little body roll. I have a semisteep drive way and have not bottomed out either so if your worried about that its not that low. Great product semi decent price would do it all over again

    A better Mustang

I own a 2012 mustang v6 with performance package and I can say that the extra $1,500 or so that I paid was well worth the price. The package gives the car great looks plus improved handling and 3.31 rear for quicker acceleration off the line. However, I was not to thrilled with the gaps between wheels and fenders so I decided to purchase the H&R Super Sport Springs. After install the car looks killer a much more aggressive stance and to my surprise handling and acceleration have also significantly improved. H&R makes a great product and I would definitely recommend this product.

Springs lowered the exact amount they said they would(1.7" front, 2.4" rear). Looks killer after intallation. Ride quality is awesome and actually not much different than stock, however feels much tighter overall and less b"boat" like. My only gripe would be that the front could use maybe an extra quarter inch lower.

    The car looks freakin' sexy.

I love the way my 'stang looks with these springs! It rides a lot stiffer now and you really need to crawl over speed bumps, but the handling has totally improved. My only concern is a creaking and popping sound coming from the right side front strut mount after only about 200 miles. Any ideas or upgrades to help me out would be great. Note: I reused the original strut mounts. Thanks again!

    • Response from AmericanMuscle

When installing springs, due to the compressing and decompressing of the springs, sometimes the strut mounts can creak and make noise if the stock ones are reused. I would recommend replacing the strut mounts to fix the problem.

    Great buy

I got these on the presidents day sale awhile back for a great deal. Over all they look great, the car sits flat and low just as I hoped. The ride quality is great given the amount of drop on stock shock/struts, a little bouncy at times but again well within my expectations. Driving, the car has better turn in and feels much more solid and in control, I'm very pleased with my choice. As with any springs I think a good set of aftermarket shock/struts would make these perfect.

    Awesome but be very careful!

Looks awesome but you need to be very careful driving because the bottom of the car will drape when going into and out of driveways

I installed the springs about a week ago. the install was simple and took me and my friend a little over 2 hours for all four. the back two springs are really quick. Make sure to disconnect the front brake lines when lowering your rotor so you dont put any tension on them. The drop looks really nice. 10000 times better than the stock look. looks really good in the back with the 305 tire. hopefully the springs will continue to compress and lower the front just a little more then it will be perfect. over all great bang for the buck. suspension is also really stiff, you can really feel every bump now too haha, its a really sporty feel which i happen to like.

    Lowered just right

I love the ride height. I have Shelby Off-set 20” wheels and it does not rub, which was my worry. The lower center of gravity will really help in the turns. I took the car to VIR and ran the road course before and after. Big difference. You will need to get a spring clamp from the auto parts store to do the fronts. They have a deal where you buy it, use it, and return it.

WOW !!! What A Difference, 2014 Sittin Pretty

Everything is perfect, ride is a bit bumpy,,,well what do you expect?? The front could be a little lower as a few have mentioned... for under 300.00 and done in an afternoon you cant beat it !!!! I did it the old fashion way,, no power tools and a harbor freight compressor,,, which worked perfectly !!!! 12.99 5 hours after turning that spring comp 4 times ,,,still not bad for hand tools,,, I know I could do it in 2.5 in a shop :) Also on line instruction's were spot on !!!! All in with compressor was 272.98.... COMEONE MAN !!!

    Awesome Stance

I was fortunate enough to get these springs as a Christmas gift. I have had my eye on them for a while and they did exactly what I was hoping for. I had my local shop install them (for free thanks to my brother-in-law mechanic) and when I pulled back in to the lot to pick her up I could not stop smiling. I am not sure that I saw the full drop expected but it still looks wonderful. She sits very even and low. You can really feel the difference around the corners. Ride becomes a little more bumpy but well worth it. Added Eibach camber bolts for good measure and was able to get her aligned with ease.

these springs were exactly what I was looking for. lowered the car and filled in the wheel gap. install was fairly simple took us an afternoon but we really only did about 2 hours of work with breaks (distractions) in between. I had never messed with suspension on any car and I was able to do the install fairly simple. FYI when taking off front springs from the strut take care with the strut mounts and make sure you hold the two pieces together or the ball bearings will bounce all over your driveway. learned my lesson the hard way and took more care on the other side. if your not hard headed and read the instructions it tells you about this. handling is improved and can handle the 5.0 power a lot better over stock. overall good product and good stance

    H&R lowering springs

Il start by saying these are a great product, instal was about 2-3 hours and no modifications were necessary, I did however try to use the gt500 upper strut mount and I could not get them to work. The car sits right where it should it looks fantastic and the handling improvement is good for the dollor figure but the braking and acceleration aspect blows me away, no more. Take dive and it stops much shorter, and on acceleration the hood doesn't shove up and waste energy it just squats and launches like crazy. It also when combined with eibach front and rear sway bars make the car handle like a track car. Overall very happy I was smiling the whole ride home

    Love the stance!

Got my H&R Super Sport springs put on and I LOVE the stance! Perfect!! Ride is a lot flatter in the curves and under hard acceleration. Over bumps, it's firmer, but not harsh. Cruising, the quality is just as nice and smooth as stock. Highly recommended!

    The stance in your stang!

The lowering spring kit is pretty easy to install, the hardest part was waiting to see the new low finished look. And if your Mustang is new, everything comes off and on without a glitch. Not only is the handling way better, but you‘ll see a noticeable difference parked next to stock stang!
