Description
Increase Horsepower And Torque. Now you can increase the horsepower and torque of your GT Mustang with a set of JBA Silver Ceramic Cat4ward Shorty headers for power you can feel throughout the entire RPM band. These JBA Shorty headers will greatly improve your mustangs exhaust flow increasing your Pony's horsepower, and torque. Quality Construction. JBA Shorty headers are made to last using 3/8" thick laser-cut one piece flanges, free flowing mandrel-bent 1-5/8" stainless steel tubing, and JBA's patented Firecone™ Sealing Dome collectors.

Silver Ceramic Coating. These Shorty Headers are completed in JBA's Polished Silver Ceramic Coating that not only looks great, but reduce under hood temperatures to help increase horsepower and extend the life of the headers. Ceramic Coated headers will long out last both chrome plated and polished headers.

Application. Designed to fit the 2005-2010 GT and Bullitt Mustangs equiped with the 4.6L 3 valve V8 engine. These JBA Cat4ward Shorty headers include high-quality mounting hardware, reuse the factory gaskets and come with complete installation instructions, so that they will bolt right up to your Mustangs stock factory mid-pipe.

would slp cattback x-pipe work with these headers? I like these headers but i have a question, if i buy these then add the SLP Cattback X-pipe will that work?

  • The JBA headers are great I am running them on my 05 GT the horsepower gains are about 5 to 10 hp. However you should look at it as the First step, mid pipes and better mufflers and then the intake, CAI , and a BAMA tune will get you about 30 hp and a great sounding Stang .

    It took 4hrs for each side on my 2006 GT. When I wss done I was rewarded with one of the unique sounds. It added a huge roar and I have a stock mid pipe. Everyone loves the way my car sounds. Performances, I could really feel the extra power on take off really good. You can feel the power until you let off the gas really. For my car more on take off though. Great product and worth the price. The sound with great power gain. I'll put a video up for you soon.

    Look, style, performance. These headers have all three in spades, but be prepared to pay the price in labor. I would reccomend at least a weekend for the install and adjustments. They want you to "adjust and retorque the header bolts after the engine is warm", but buddy let me tell you its easier said than done. Fixing the leak in my manifold will probably be 6-8 shop hours. Once should be enough if you tighten top and bottom alternately from the inside out though. Oh, and by the way, a half inch impact with an 18 and 6 inch extentions put together with a swivel on the end worked nicely for the top drivers side cat bolt. Performance and sound were noticeably improved, but IMO if you're willing to invest in headers then cams are really needed to complete the package. BAMA is pretty good with their tunes as well.

    A shop put them on for mr. Once there on, it sounds like a complete beast. I lobe the low rumble it makes when you step on the gass. Overall, another awesome product from am.

    Open the hood, open your EYES!

    Install was a full day by a muffler shop. Fit was perfect. Appearance was 'whoa!' Very impressive for a clean, serious and proud look under the hood. Great addition.

    Best Shorty Headers

    I wasn't looking for the loudest exhaust but I was looking to improve air travel. I bought from American Muscle and installed/had installed: Ford Racing intake manifold, ford racing throttle body, ford racing CAI, rousch extreme performance cat-forward exhaust, and these JBA ceramic shorty headers. I didn't sell out on anything price wise but feel now that long tube headers would have been the way to go because they push out better numbers(more gains). Having had said that, I feel I purchased the best shorty headers on the market at the time of my purchase. I highly recommend this product if you want a product that will get you a max output for Shorty Headers. All of this work improved my cars performence by over 60 RWHP. The car launches like you wouldn't believe and I can't wait to get everything else installed. Soon to follow: internals, heads, cams, 3.90 gears, and a supercharger. Shipping was fast, product came in undamaged, and a shop installed everything and tuned my car for $1,400.

    I love these headers, DO NOT love installing them

    I installed the headers along with prothane bullet poly engine mounts and a complete pypes super system exhaust. It took me 10 hours and some change total. I had a lift and air tools. I ran into problems with starting header bolts and tightening up the top bolt into the bullet mounts. The headers, pypes off road x pipe, and pypes super system sound great. Idle is fairly quiet, but sound really nice revving up or wide open down the road. Worth it? IMO, yes. Feel more torque, lots of top end with my other mods and tune. I would not do you the install again, I would find a performance shop who would quote me a good price and screw themselves ......

    JBA Shorty Ceramics

    Let me first say I bought these headers knowing that if you want massive gains I should have bought longtubes. My goal is to build a nice modded car that's still 50 state legal. I chose the JBA's because they were equal length, and were the only header to match the exhaust ports on the 4.6 heads. Install took me a full 8 hours, but I that was after an exhausting day of work the day prior. I have no doubt I could have done this in 6 hours if I'd been rested up. I've already got SLP Loudmouths, and the X-pipe that comes on the Shelby GT's. These headers made the car a little bit louder and made it sound even meaner, especially at WOT. I can't speak to gas mileage change as I've only had them on 2 weeks and my Shelby is a garage queen. Performance gains were minimal. It flattened out the power curve, making starts from a dead stop a little easier, and it revs faster and smoother. I don't expect to see real gains till my other planned mods are added and I get a good tune. RWHP with a stock Shelby GT was 282, will dyno later since adding the headers and update this review. Overall I got exactly what I expected, maybe a little bit more. Count me happy and thanks to American Muscle, always the best!

    JBA Shorty Headers

    I got a shop to install them. Was billed 6.5 hours. Left two original head studs. Used new Ford gasgets. Had to keep stock midpipe for Inspection reasons for now but with my Magnaflow Catback the sound is perfect for my needs and wants. Nice low rumble until more throttle then awesome sound. I installed a JLT series 3 Intake at the same time and the Torque is amazing, 301 at 4200 RPM/ 277 RWHP at 5100 RPM. Auto tranny, 87 Octane Bama Street tune,3:73 rear. I read what people say about shorties but my car is low and I already bottom out sometimes on speedbumps so LTs just aren't for me at this time. So all I can say is they work great for my needs. Oh they look great under the hood.
