JBA Exhaust

The JBA Off Road X Pipe was very easy to install. It took less than one hour to have the car back on the ground. The sound level did go up but that was expected. All the JBA exhaust is top shelf!

will it work on a 2005 V6 with a GT catback i have a 2005 V6 with shorty headers (bought them used, i think they're pypes brand) and i have a used Gt catback in the trunk of the car. will this X pipe bolt to my headers? because if it bolts to the headers it should be good even if i have to gerry rig something to get the pipes to line up after the x

  • Unfortunately, this nor any GT mid-pipe will bolt up properly on your V6. You'll need a cut and clamp style mid-pipe meant for a V6 to bolt up to your shorty headers and it would allow you to use the GT catback without issue.

Very good price, very great sound.

    May 11, 2012

I purchased this along with FRPP Natural Shorty Headers and a MAC Axle back. The labor costs I associated with this were to install the headers and the x pipe. Just to install the X pipe alone, it can be done at home no problem within a few hours. As for the product itself, I'm a big fan. Everything fits together perfectly, and it sounds great. Mounts are all exactly where they should be, and it's all quality material. The only gripe I have with it are the clamps they include to clamp the downtubes to the X. They are a cheap clamp and I highly recommend replacing those with a better quality bandclamp.

If loud is what you want....

    March 06, 2012

TSIA. Had a few issues with the flanges connecting to the stock manifold, otherwise was a simple install. I would recommend straight through mufflers, as the Borla Atak catback I have installed, trumpets very bad at WOT. I also get dirty looks from my neighbors in the morning, so if that doesn't bother you then this x-pipe is for you.

    Better than Pypes

    October 16, 2014

It was very easy to install. Did it in my driveway on ramps. The only issue I ran into is I believe they MIG welded the bungs for the O2 sensors instead of TIG. It may have warped the bung holes causing my o2 sensors to be hard to thread in. Before you install you might want to run a pipe tap in them to make sure you won't have problems. Over all I love the loudness with my Borla axleback. It's definitely a head turner

    Small issues

    July 05, 2014

This coupled with corsa extreme axle backs makes the most incredible sound on the planet. Everyone looks as you drive by. I used a lift and got it done in less than 1 hour. The flanges were a little small but I was able to force it on. The biggest issue I had is that my 08 Bullitt didn't have the mid pipe hangers so the ones on the pipe were vibrating on the transmission crossmember bolts. Check the clearance on the hanger and cut them off if needed ASAP, otherwise it will annoy you every time you drive the car.

    Great buy for the price!

    June 09, 2013

Installed these by myself taking my time. Can't remember if it was the passenger or driver side but the pipe didn't fit so I had to take it to an exhaust shop to have the tube expanded. Otherwise a nice fit. I have Dynomax Race Bullets and this really woke up the car. I thought I had an exhaust leak when I fired it up but it was just that much louder that you could hear the exhaust pulses. You can hear a little bit of lope with the stock camshafts with these installed whereas before it was a nice and even idle so it makes me wonder how it would sound with chambered mufflers. Car sounds bada**!! I've gotten plenty of compliments on the sound so I know I got my moneys worth! Also nice that you can upgrade to JBA LTs if you decide to down the road and use this x pipe.

    JBA O/R X-pipe

    April 21, 2013

Installed this along with JLT Cai and SCT Bama tuner. The combination brought my GT to life. It can be very loud when getting on it, but I expected that and I have gotten use to it. Installation took about 2 hours but I do not have a lift, just jack and jack stands. Plus I took my time.

    Roush Charged 2010 GT

    March 09, 2013

It was a very easy install. I was able to borrow a lift at a local tire shop. The JBA x-pipe was exactly what the said it was, a perfect fit. They said it had a raspy race car growl and they did not lie. :) I have mine hooked up with Flowmaster American Thunders and it does sound like a race car. It did add some ponies. Also no check engine light so far.
