  • Performance V2 (87-93 Octane) - The Performance Tune offers a seamless blend of power, performance and drive-ability. Technical Note About Fuel. Use of E85 will require larger fuel injectors such as Injector Dynamics ID1300 or Ford Racing 47lb/hr Injectors. Unleaded race fuel can also be used, but Stoichiometric points must be supplied.

Very nice CAI

I have a 2013 V6 Convertable with 70000 miles on it. I installed a cold air intake and a 73 MM Throttle Body. I have noticed my fuel economy has decreased, would a tune help?

I have a 2013 V6, I really want to do burnouts but the stock mustang has a Brake over Accelerate feature that keeps it from going above 1900 RMPs. Can I remove or disable it with this tuner, or which one can do it. Thanks!

  • The Bama Performance team is able to calibrate a tune that will disable that limiter which will allow the vehicle to reach higher RPM's in order to have the vehicle lock in those burnouts.

  • The speed limiter will not be adjusted beyond 120 MPH until you have purchased a single piece drive shaft. The two piece drive shaft becomes unstable beyond that. With a single piece drive shaft on your Mustang, we can make speed limiter adjustments for you though a BAMA custom tune.

If you get the SCT x4 tuner for 2011 to 2014 3.7 v6 mustang does it plug into any mustang or does have to be custom tuned for your car to match the numbers on your engine control module?

I have a 2011 3.7 with BBK long tube headers and catted X pipe. I've been getting check engine lights for o2 sensor, I repositioned the upstream sensor a few inches back from reviews I've read online but still getting check engine on o2. Will this fix this issue?

Recently bought the JLT for my 2011. Installed it sounds and feels great but I noticed that my mpg gauge jumps for example I had 250 miles till I was empty cut the car off and then it read 240 got home and it's at 230 it jumps up also any idea?

    Review from Bama X4/SF4 Power Flash Tuner w/ 2 Custom Tunes (11-14 V6)

    DO NOT BUY - UPDATING BRICKS TUNER

    Just got off a 30min call with SCT support. I bought this device nearly 3 years ago and only used it to tune my vehicle twice (bama tunes) and I went to update the device via Wifi and on the 6 out of 6 updates the device failed. Plugged in into my laptop and used SCT's Device Updater software, which also failed and caused the tuner to throw a "Device Comm Error." This error means I need to pay $100 shipping to have them fix it. The support tech told me this is a common issue and they don't know why it happens. If this happens and you've had the device more than 2 years, you're forced to pay them $100 so they can fix the issue that their software causes. Support tech said that I updated the device wrong and it was my fault. There is a warning message that states I need to backup my stock tune, did that. The rep. stated I actually needed to upload the stock tune back to my car, this way the device "unlocks" something on the inside (he had no idea exactly what took place) and then reset the device to factory settings, and then update the device and re-tune my car. The error message is not clear on this vital part AT ALL. All in all, I paid $399 for the device initially and if I want to use it ever again I'll need to pay an additional $100 and choose to never update it because the manufacture doesn't really understand what causes these issues. Garbage, will never work with company again. Bama tunes were great, they played no part in this.

    Great for gas mileage

    Use to get 16 mpg, after install I get 20 mpg. Took about 25 minutes with somebody else helping me. Makes car a lot deeper and a little louder with the lethal off-road h pipe and atak I have on car.

    Well...

    For being the first mod to my car, it actually has waken the car up. Love all the sounds the intake makes at 3000 rpm and above. and wot is kind of glorious. Still need to see what it does tuned and with other mods but as far as i'm concerned its a great first mod.

    I honestly love this intake, people may say that it doesn't make a difference but trust me it does. Don't get me wrong if you didn't drive the car before the intake, you probably won't feel the difference it made. I would totally recommend it for anyone looking for an intake.

    Tuner is horrible

    After owning this tuner for a couple of weeks and trying to use it, its horrible. First, the screen scratches very easily and now it looks horrible with all sorts of "rainbow" effects in the display. Secondly, every time I connect it to my pc, it says there's an update, it says the update is at 100 download, and then the software just crashes because it says there "was a problem", and won't finish installing the update. Thirdly, when BAMA first sent me the tuner saying it was ready to go, the tunes wouldn't upload, after finally getting someone on the phone who knew what he was doing, he said the tunes that were initially sent to me were written incorrectly with lots of bad information and he rewrote them on the fly for me while I was waiting on the phone. Conclusion, a total piece of junk, spend 300 bucks and get a dyno tune from a reliable local shop, this thing is not worth the price or the time spent trying to get it working.

    My Favorite Mod

    The best thing I ever did to my car. Period. Never will you install (although I don't think "install" is the right word for a tune) another mod that will give you the massive change this does. Usually, the differences after installing a mod are subtle. With a Bama tune, your car gets a whole new life. The gas pedal is touchier and actually has a full range of acceleration (rather than stock, where you have to push the pedal halfway down to get any sort of up-and-go). I love that you can set a rev limiter below the factory one; I set mine at 6700 so I can bounce off the rev limiter (safely) when I gun it ;)

    Bama tune makes my 2014 come alive

    I was disappointed with the performance of my 2014 V6 Mustang. It was sluggish and didn't seem to have the 305 horse power it was rated at. I bought the SCT X4 tuner from Americanmuscle They installed two tunes on it, (Performance and Race), I chose the latter. My mustangs driveability became 100 better. More instant power and my automatic transmission picked its ratios better. I would recommend this to anyone who would like better performance.

    The product is great .took me a little longer to put on because I had to put a secondary hole in the tube. But once I had it on my 3.7 she woke up, well worth the money,you can here the tone difference coming out of the exhaust during moving threw the gears,loving it, next is a runner SCT

    Best mod I have, hands down.

    This is by far the best mod I have on my car. I have an Intake, Off road x-pipe, and magnaflow street axle backs. I have a 14 V6 automatic and the throttle response that I was looking for is what I got. Snappier shifts, way more smoother on the low end and more torque also on the low end. I wish that I had gotten this as my first mod but oh well, I'm happy now. Highly recommended it to anyone considering. This tune will turn your car into a whole different animal.

    My car is alive

    Brings the car to life literally. If you ever wanted to exploit the true power in your pony this is the thing for you. The performance tune is nice for fuel economy, but theres a drastic difference in the car with a race tune. Strap in your seatbelt to notice an immediate difference in throttle response the second you step on the gas. Worth every penny!

    GET THIS!!

    This small device will unlock your stang, giving you the customization and performance gains the car is truly capable of. Free tunes for life itself is worth the cost of this unit as you continue to upgrade your pony you will need to write new programs for the ECU. Also useful when taking your car in to the dealer for warranty work and diagnostics as you can reset it to stock easily. As far as performance goes, i immediately noticed better throttle response and powerband is more aggressive. Shifts are also more productive and immediate. Use this to put high octane fuel in your vehicle as well.

    it happens on Wide open throttle!

    I like the whistle when you start on 1st to 3rd gear. you can hear it sucking air and all that, but the most that i was impressed was in wide open throttle! this is not a joke and even me felt really good when a did wot and on the stoplight this car's driver liked the sound of my v6 and he told me " that V8 sound tho!" inside me was like YES!!! anyway, super easy install, no issues at all!

    WORTH IT FOR THE SOUND ALONE

    THE PERFORMANCE GAIN WAS NOTICEABLE. I'M GUESSING 10 OR MORE HORSEPOWER BY SEAT OF PANTS( I HAVE A TUNE). THE BEST PART WAS THE SOUND. IT SOUNDS MORE LIKE A V8 AND YOU GET SOUND OF THE ENGINE SUCKING AIR NOT UNLIKE A 4 BARREL CARBURETOR.

    wish I would have got it when i bought the car new!

    ok, like many others I was hesitant on purchasing the tuner,....I wasn't sure if it would make much difference,... would you actually notice a difference?, would it be worth it for whatever minimal gains? my car is a 2011 v6 convertible with an automatic and GT500 take off mufflers. I read all the reviews ,etc.. finally bit the bullet and decided to give it a shot after debating on it a year. I was hoping to at least pick up some of the torque that I felt had been lost after changing the exhaust to the axle backs, and if I could pick up some mpg that would be a bonus. I had also read about the improved shifting and thought that would be nice as well, if it would indeed clean it up. I didn't want to write a review until I'd had a chance to try a couple of the tunes and go thru at least several tanks of gas, doing my normal back and forth drives, and a few weekend trips.to get a real idea on mileage and drivability. so, on to my impressions- I first loaded the 89 street tune with the eliminated skip shift. went to run a few errands and give the car a chance to warm to normal temp. the 1st thing I noticed was vastly different shifting. the shifts were clean and noticeably precise over the stock feel. on this improvement alone, the tuner would be worth a look. the tuner enhanced the low end torque where the V6 mustang needs it, I think it was pretty happy to rev without assistance, but until you got it in the meat of the power band, it wasn't as snappy. now with the tune..... hold on. it really will toss you back into the seat and try to jump sideways! the majority of my driving it from off idle to maybe 3500 if that. I'm not a kid romping it every stop light, albeit a 50 year old kid maybe with this tune in... even out on the highway passing, it drops down and goes. seemingly no shortage throughout the power band now. as for mileage,...sure, you could possible squeak out a little more 1-2 mpg if you can behave yourself, don't look for it in town driving. my mileage has changed slightly to another 20-30 miles per tank. not tremendous, but decent for the way you'll find yourself wanting to "play" more. Next I loaded the 89 performance tune,.....honestly I couldn't wait to go back to the street tune, but I gave it a full tank to be sure of my impressions. it didn't have the same feel down low, and really wasn't that impressive higher in the revs, at least to me. I may try it again sometime just to see,although you do feel more pull on the highway/interstate when you hammer it,and it seems to hold in whatever gear a bit longer. overall- it's definitely worth buying if just for the improvement in drivability. if your buying for mileage alone, don't bother, if you want to increase the fun factor- buy it yesterday!
