I have had two previous remotes however, I don;t remember how to program it! Can you please refresh my memory? My alarm has been disengaged because my other remote came off my key-chain and therefore, is los.t. Thank you, L. Smith

BodyWorker

  • (1) Put the key in the ignition and make sure it can turn freely. (2)Turn the ignition quickly, 8 times, between ON and OFF (do not start the car) and end with the key in the ON position. If you did it correctly the door locks will LOCK and then UNLOCK. (3) Push either the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote ( I would recommend pressing LOCK, so the doors would lock if you did it correctly). Turn the key to the OFF position and click the TRUNK button. If it opens, programming is complete.

Will this product work with my 2003 F-150 pickup? I lost one.

  • While most Ford key fobs use the same frequency, we can only confirm this for the 1999-2014 model Mustangs.

I have a 99 mustang and the key to unlick my doors and open my trunk is different than the one for my ignition. Will a remote still work?

  • A Keyless Entry Remote will work for your car. It is simply a replacement in case your old Remote got lost or broke from old age. It features the unlock, lock, alarm, and truck button. It is not a remote start. You will still need to turn the vehicle on with the main key.

Does the remote come with all the parts you need or do I need to take the parts from my old remote and put it inside

Darren

  • This remote is a replacement. You will not need to take your old one apart and put the internals inside the new.

How come it doesn't work when car is on? I got this so i can lock my doors when I turn my car on in the winter?

Zachary

  • The remote should work while the car is both on and off. You may need to check the batteries inside the remote and ensure there is no corrosion.

    Good

Works just like the OEM part. I've seen people ask; so yes it does come with a battery. Programming was very easy, but there were no instructions with the part. To program: -Put the key in the ignition and make sure it can turn freely. -Turn the ignition quickly, 8 times, between ON and OFF (do not start the car), end with the key in the ON position. You'll know you did it correctly because the door locks will LOCK then UNLOCK. -Push either the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote (I pressed the LOCK, so the doors would lock if I did it correctly). Turn the key to the OFF position and click the TRUNK button. If it opens, you're done. Don't forget to shut the trunk.

Keyless entry's for less than half than the dealer.

Ordered two keyless remotes to replace my worn out ones. Worked great. The process for syncing them up requires you to press the appropriate buttons in QUICK succession.

This remote looks and works great. It took me a few tries to program it, you need to turn the key wicked fast to do the programing. I'll be buying another for my spare set.

    Cost-Saving Option!

When I priced a replacement key for my 2014 Mustang convertible, I was floored. Over $200.00 for a key?? The key itself has a chip plus the remote section doesn't come cheap. In ended up finding a lock smith that was reasonable in selling me the chipped key, complete with programing, for $70.00 and I bought this remote from American Muscle for another $35 on sale. I was pleased to learn that you only need one original remote to program this remote. Some other brands required two remotes and since I have just one from buying my car 2nd hand, I thought I was stuck. I literally programmed this remote in less than 20-seconds. It's a great backup and functions as good as the original!

    Excellent!

My key is bent from using it to unlock the door. I bought a remote and it worked perfectly. It took about 10 minutes to program. The reason it took long was because I forgot to put on my seat belt ha. Overall, this remote FOB is great, really recommend it.

    Keyless Entry remote

Bought this as a replacement part for my 2000 GT as when I bought the car it didn't come with the remote. Shipping was fast as usual from AM. Programming is a breeze. All you do is 1) Turn your key in your car to on (not turning the car on but just power) 8 times. 2) if done correctly your doors will lock then unlock. 3) On your remote press either the lock or unlock button and if your doors do the action pressed great! 4) If doors do action done by remote then press the trunk button on the remote and you're all set! Don't forget to shut your trunk! Lol

Keyless Entry Remote (99-14 All) / How to Install

Programming the keyless remote only requires a few simple steps: 1. Turn key from off to on (position 1 to 3) 8 times as within 10 seconds. 2. Note: Leave key in Position 3 (on position); otherwise you will wind up starting over. Upon the 8th time, you will observe the doors engage and disengage. 3. Pull out the key. Viola!!! The Keyless Entry Remote works. Total time: .... A few minutes ...
