K&N Blackhawk Cold Air Intake (04-08 5.4L F-150)

Delivering a powerful indraft of cold air, the Blackhawk typically spins up a power bonus of slightly more than +11 horsepower and +15 ft-lbs of torque in an F-150 pickup. The all-black styling of this intake gives it a fierce but stealthy look that dresses up your engine compartment, with a contrasting polished K&N nameplate atop the textured black powder-coated intake tube. It also gives your truck’s engine a charged sound – energetic, dynamic, and ready for action.

No Tune Required. Upon installing the K&N Series 71 Black Induction Cold Air Intake in your F-150, you don’t need to apply any specialized tune to the engine. The CAI will work and provide extra power with the factory tune in place. Slight additional gains may be made by installing a component specific tune, but this is not required.

Oil-Free Permanent Filter. Running for 100,000 miles before it needs its first cleaning (unless used in extremely dirty environments), the K&N Series 71 Blackhawk CAI features a synthetic black conical filter. The filter is made to last for the lifetime of the whole component and is easily washable and reusable to spare your pocketbook (and the environment). The synthetic fabric is oil-free for even more convenience.

Built Strong for Performance. Engineered to last, The K&N 71 Series Black Induction Intake features an aluminum intake tube finished with textured black powder-coat for appearance reasons. Stainless steel clamps secure the intake, while the engraved K&N nameplate is welded on, rather than simply bolted or glued, to ensure it never works loose. This high performance part draws in lots of air and features an unrestricted design to keep the flow going strongly.

Includes Housing for Stock MAF. In addition to attachment points for a crankcase vent hose and brake booster/EVAP line, the K&N 71 Series Blackhawk Cold Air Intake features the necessary space to fit the factory MAF sensor. The MAF sensor continues to work as normal once mounted.

Installation is a Snap. Nothing but the component itself and a set of basic automotive hand tools is needed to install this part. All necessary hardware is included. The K&N 71 Series Blackhawk Induction Cold Air Intake bolts on without drilling or cutting, taking about 1 ½ hours (90 minutes) to attach.

Warranted for 1 Million Miles. The K&N 71 Series Blackhawk Induction Cold Air Intake carries a standard 1 million mile warranty from the manufacturer.

50-State CARB Exempt. 50-state street-legal, the K&N 71 Series Blackhawk Induction Cold Air Intake can be used on the roads and highways of California as readily as any other state thanks to its CARB compliant design. Its CARB EO Number is D-269-48.

Application. The K&N 71 Series Blackhawk Air Intake System is designed to fit 2004-2008 5.4L Ford F150 models.

Technical Note. The K&N Cold Air Intake is not designed for vehicles equipped with a Body Lift.
