Description
Increase Performance. Add even more horsepower and torque to the rear wheels of your 1999-2004 4.6L Mustang with a Kooks Catted Shorty X-pipe. A Kooks Catted X-pipe features high flow race catalytic converters to increase overall performance. This Kooks 2.5" X-pipe is specifically designed to be used with Kooks Long Tube Headers.

Race Car Growl. This free flowing Kooks X-pipe not only increases power, but it also adds a crisp raspy, race car growl to the sound of your exhaust with its modern "X" crossover pipe design.

Quality Construction. Manufactured from 2.5" diameter mandrel bent 304 stainless steel tubing, Kooks X-pipes feature a merged "X" crossover for superior exhaust flow.



Application. This Kooks 2.5" Shorty Catted X-Pipe is specifically designed to fit the 1999-2004 GT, BullittMach 1 and Cobra Mustangs with Kooks Long-Tube Headers installed.

    1 3/4in Kooks LT Headers and 3in catted X-pipe install

    The headers are not an easy task for the DIY guy I had a speed shop install them. They are very nicely constructed and awesome looking. The fit in some areas are very tight I can feel through the body, a little rubbing going on at times. I believe its coming from the lower front brace where the header exits it barely clears by an 1/8 of an inch. They come down very low, so you have to careful with them speed bumps.The sound was extremely surprising, my Kooks set up is combined with a MAC stainless cat-back I was expecting it to be annoying loud at idle, but it is the total opposite, surprisingly the car is quitter than before at idle? You would never imagine that my car has a full LT Header exhaust system. At WOT it sounds monstrous, very angry! After a re-tune I also gained over 40rwhp/32lbft on a conservative tune with 91 octane. Overall I am extremely pleased with the product
