Heavy Duty. The the stock factory Universal Joint (a.k.a. U-Joint) is fine for a everyday commuter car, but if you are making serious horsepower it can be the weak link in your Pony's drive train just waiting to break leaving you at the side of the road. So replace it with a Heavy Duty Lakewood unit and put more power to the rear wheels.

Durable Construction. Lakewood created this U-Joint to last using ultra-durable chrome-nickel-moly alloy cross and caps, and special high-carbon steel and induction heat-treated needle bearings.

Application. This Lakewood Performance Universal Joint is designed to fit the 1979 to 1986 4 cylinder, V6, and V8 Mustangs with manual or automatic transmissions.
