More Horsepower And Torque. Replace those restrictive stock factory manifolds with a set of MAC Long Tube Headers to improve your mustangs exhaust flow and increase your Pony's horsepower and torque. Increases of up to 42 RWHP have been seen when installed with a matching MAC shorty mid-pipe. High Quality Construction. Constructed from 1-3/4" mandrel bent 16 Gauge Steel tubing so there are no kinks to rob you of power, these MAC Performance Long Tube Headers feature 2-1/2" True Fit Collectors that eliminate the need for gaskets which are prone to leak and blow out. These headers are then completed in a bright chrome finish for good looks and a durable long life.

Recommended Upgrade. To realize the full power potential that these Long Tube Headers have to offer, AmericanMuscle recommends a custom tune with a Mustang Handheld Tuner to reprogram the vehicles computer (ECU) for proper operation.

Application. These MAC Performance long tube headers are designed to fit the 2005-2010 4.6L 3V Mustangs with either a 5 speed manual or automatic transmission, including the GT and Bullitt models. MAC Performance recommends using a MAC shorty mid-pipe for the best performance gains.

Technical Note. This MAC Performance product is not legal for use in emission restrictive states.

  • If you purchase the Mac Long Tube Headers, you want to stick with the MAC Shorty Mid-pipe for proper fitment. The axle-back does not bolt directly to your mid-pipe so you can choose whichever system you'd like. Please contact us if you have additional questions!

Can you use your stock catalytic converters with these headers? I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck and these headers are a good price, but I'm also trying to stay within my county restrictions. I have to have cats and most full exhaust systems are either off road applications or more expensive than what I want to pay.

Can these headers be used with a Roush M90 supercharger? Can these headers be used on my Roush 428R with the M90 supercharger? I also have a Steeda cold air intake, 2.57" supercharge pulley, 90mm idler pulley, 90mm mass air sensor along with an SCT X Cal 3 Tuner with custom tune installed. If these headers will work do I need to re tune my Mustang for these headers and would I need to replace anymore of my exhaust system as I am running a Roush off road exhaust system. Thank you, FG.

  • If you wanted to make the most of all your mods you shood do a retune but not required. You will also nee dto change the mid pipe to a shorty style

    Great Product

    Great product. The price was great, and i had a shop install this for me. I also had the rest of the exhaust custom made, and i have pype bomb axel backs on it as well. It sounds great. I def. feel the difference with the headers installed. The stock manifolds were so restrictive. Gave the car a nice deep tone, and a muscle car roar. I love American Muscle. As a side point, don't forget to order o2 sensor extenders from AM also...you will need these to connect the o2 sensors to the headers. The stock wires are not long enough. I forgot to order them, but had AM ship them next day for me, and i got them installed and the car is running perfect. I recommend this product.

    A great buy for the blue collar guys..

    Really love the deep sound it added to my exhaust, more bass less crackling of the mufflers. I picked up half a second in the 1/4 mile so the power added has proven itself. I was told by a local pro to reuse the factory gaskets....don't. Had a leak so I bought great quality gaskets and eliminated that issue quickly.

    Badass headers...not disappointed at all

    these headers made my car feel so good.....I took out my cats during the installation, my car is the loudest car at my school now, and you can definitely feel the difference in horse power

    Mac lives true to the rumors.

    These long tubes (off road) from Mac added about 35 RWHP after the dyno tune on my '10 GT. Previous modifications were; Roush CAI, Ford Racing intake manifold, Ford Racing 62mm throttle body, Ford Racing ported cylinder heads, Ford Racing hot rod camshafts, and Steeda under drive pulleys. Aside from the power gain, these long tubes sound low and throaty. I have the Mac pro chamber off road midpipe and couldn't be happier! I get a lot of compliments and questions on the exhaust set up. The shop owner even had a big grin on his face when he started it up for me when I was picking it up. The only slight negative I have so far is that the driver side header rubs slightly on the steering shaft when making hard right turns. It's not bad, just noticeable through a small vibration in the steering wheel. I think it's more of an issue in space rather than a design flaw. I've heard of MUCH more expensive brands doing the same thing on these cars. I guess something you have to live with if you want this modification. All in all, I'm in love with my car all over again. I wouldn't have done anything differently with it if given the option!

    Sounds angry!

    I will start by saying that this isn't something you want to do yourself if you don't have a garage full of tools and a lift. Luckily I had all that and it still took 7 hours. Real tight fit and I had to do a pretty good tear down of the undercarriage to fit them up, but when the job was done all I could do was grin. These headers paired with the prochamber are unbeatable. Sounds aggressive and gives you a very noticeable torque gain. Second gear just got more fun. Would definitely recommend.

    Not worth it.

    The fitment was okay,and the quality was what I expected for the price. Not bad but definitely not the best. Sound wise it's just not there. I was looking for a deep low tone so I coupled these headers with the Prochamber and Mac a/b. I have no complaints from the mid pipe back! These headers give off a tin can sound that is worth avoiding them all together. Performance gains are moderate at best, and after this trail and error I just can't see why somebody wouldn't just save up a little more scratch and go with a stainless or ceramic coated header! AM was Awesome as always! I'll be back to perfect my setup.

    These headers are the best bang for the buck out there. And IMO they are a lot better then those expensive ones. If you are thinking about getting these for your stang, do it and you won't regret it. The sound and finish off the product is outstanding. Even though all my neighbors hate me,I would buy these headers 100x over.
