  • No, it only replaces the handle on the dipstick.

    Did Stick

I found this item a bit of a problem to install Once the loop was cut off there was not a whole lot of room left to drill the hole for the screw When I did get it together and placed it in the engine it looked great

Easy to install but does take some minor effort

I have purchased the entire set of these and recommend them all. This cover is meant to fit over and using the current handle. You will need to cut the current handle 5/8 inches up from bottom of the current lip, so you are cutting off the top of current handle loop. You will also need a drill, hex set, (to remove And then attach new handle), a utility saw, a file and a vise will help hold steady. Bottom line, it does not take much to install, but does not simply fit over current handle . If you search internet you can find instructions. Here is one set I found: Tools Required: - Hand Saw - Razor Blade - 5/32 Drill Bit and Drill - Allen Key Set - Ruler STEP 1. Measure from the base of the dipstick handle up 5/8” and mark the handle for cutting. STEP 2. Using a small hand saw, cut the top of the handle off where you previously marked it and trim the sides to be square in shape. STEP 3. Using the handle for reference, mark the factory handle for drilling. STEP 4. Using a 5/32 drill bit, drill a hole for the retaining screw to pass through. STEP 5. Slide the t-handle over the factory handle and insert the retaining screw into place to hold the two halves together.

Modern Billet Chrome Oil Dipstick Handle - Tri-Bar Logo (05-14 V6)

The handle is very impressive and cool looking. I do suggest to everyone to order another OEM/Mustang Dipstick. Its only $20.00 and in some instances either at the dealership/service dept. will have it that day or the next. Also it gives you a fall back incase something does go wrong. My only difficulty was getting the little screw initiated into the pieces grove. Other than that, its a nice piece to add to the engine bay.

    Dip Stick Installation

This product came without installation Instructions and without them you only get one chance to get it right. If you don't get it right you will have to buy a new dip stick and try again if you wish.

Chrome Dip Stick for your 2014 V6 stang

I have to be honest here, I looked at one at CJPony and it was like 2 bucks cheaper, yet they lied on the information and it didn't fit into the engine block, I canceled my account with them idiots! I should of stayed with the best company for parts that I have purchased, AM has what you need, the dip stick will take a bit of work, but in 10 mins you will have it on, you have to cut the top of your old top off and trim the sides, drill the hole for the hex screw and that's it, looks really nice, no problems, great delivery, and good quality.

    Great appearance offset by installation

End result was a great, great looking replacement for the ugly yellow plastic OEM product. Instructions were good up to a point but lead me down a frustrating road. Be very careful with your placement of the 5/32" hole. When one marks the drill spot error towards making it more towards the cut off end. I did not and the hole did not align causing be to have to drilling a bigger and bigger hole nearly running out of material. The instructions call for the "squaring off" of the remaining OEM plastic tip . . .It would have been better if the instructions showed a picture of what the finished squaring off looked like. I took to much off some areas and not enough in other areas. If you heed these cautions, your installation should take about 20 minutes, not an hour and a half, like I spent.

    Mustang Chrome Oil Handle

Easy to modify and install. I recommend using a Dremel tool to modify your original dipstick handle. It adds a nice touch to the engine compartment and at a great price, it's a must have.

Wasn't as simple as it sounded. Couldn't make a mistake for sure. I managed to twist the dip stick so the logo showed better and it looks great. My suggestion would be take you time and it'll turn out great....don't rush it.
