The MBRP XP Series four-inch single side exit exhaust in the polished finish, will be for any 2015 or newer 2.7 liter EcoBoost owner who might be looking to wake up the sound of their exhaust on their 2.7 by picking up a louder yet not overwhelming exhaust note coming from a mid-level option, such as this one, that offers really good materials with obviously an attractive polished finish, and a single side exit design. I know that's a mouthful, but obviously there are a ton of options out there for your 2.7, so we're gonna narrow it down and explain why this one might be good for you. Now obviously the most important thing about the exhaust, is gonna be the sound. Now, if you're an owner of a 2.7, you know that they're not really famous for sounding very good at all, even with some aftermarket options. Now like I said from the sound clips you just heard, you'll hear that this one is gonna get a three outta five on our loudness meter, making it a pretty loud upgrade, but obviously not the loudest you can go. So what that basically means is when you install this on your own 2.7, it'll be pretty quiet at idle. Honestly, it might not even be noticeable that you have an aftermarket exhaust. The only way you'll be able to tell, is with the polished single side exit look. On top of that, once you get on it on the highway, you'll definitely know it's there because the thing does offer just a little bit of drone, and honestly gives you a good rumble, and in my personal opinion, sounds pretty good for the 2.7, which we all know is saying a lot. So the sound can almost always be attributed to the muffler design here, and since this, as you can see, is a bullet style straight through muffler it's going to give you that three outta five sound that I just explained a second ago. A little bit of drone at the highway when the RPM band is running at the top end, of course. Nothing too crazy at the middle range, but it does give you a noticeable sound and then pretty much quiet at idle. Now after all, this is gonna be a complete 409 stainless steel from head to toe, so it's good for the guys out there who are wondering about whether or not it'll hold up all year round, because it will. Now obviously there's a higher quality material, the 304, but that's gonna come with a steeper price tag, so that'll narrow it down to how much you're willing to spend. Speaking of that price tag, this one is gonna narrow down to just about 500 bucks here, a very mid-level option, as I keep mentioning here. Not the most expensive, not the least expensive. If you're looking to stay on a tighter budget, you can get the exact same sound out of the aluminized steel coming from the Installer Series. If you're looking at this one, this is the XP Series, and then if you want the higher quality and are willing to spend a bit more to get it, the 304 stainless steel is with the Pro Series. So again, a very good and somewhat budget-friendly option for the guy looking for a better material with a smaller price tag. Shifting gears over to the installation portion of the video, as I touched on at the top, this is going to be a one outta three wrenches on a difficulty meter. It's very, very simple, straightforward direct bolt-on installation. You can tackle this with very simple hand tools, like a ratchet and a simple socket set. Now once you get this thing installed, it should take you about an hour, maybe two at the absolute maximum, and again a one outta three wrenches. Everything you need is gonna be included in the box for you. Of course everything you see on the table is what you'll get, as well as the five-inch polished stainless steel MBR tip that'll come out of the rear end of course, and then you'll get a bunch of new clamps that you don't also see on the table with me today. Now to get everything started, obviously you have to remove your factory cat-back. Unbolt it from the flanges at the mid-pipe, pull everything out of their hangers, unclamp all the mid-pipe mufflers and everything along those lines, and set everything aside. From there you'll take the long mid-pipe, connect it with the flanges to the factory one, bolt those down, and you'll move right down the line from the muffler down to the five-inch tailpipe tip. All said and done, one outta three wrenches on our difficulty meter, about an hour or two in the driveway at home, or the garage lift if you have one. So just to wrap things up here, if you're the owner of a 2015 or newer 2.7 liter EcoBoost F-150, you might be looking for a way to get a single side exit exhaust, obviously for a very reasonable price tag, with a polished finish, a three outta five on our loudness meter, something that's extremely easy to bolt up, that gives you just a little bit of drone, and a loud noticeable tone with a very nice RPM band range. If that sounds like something you're looking for, with a 409 stainless steel option, check out the MBRP XP series four-inch stainless steel cat-back exhaust, which is available right here at americanmuscle.com.
