Street Comp UHP. The Mickey Thompson Street Comp tire is built especially for ultra high performance applications that demand incredible traction, crisp handling, and high speed cornering ability. You get all these features along with the outstanding styling you would expect from Mickey Thompson.

Superior Wet And Dry Performance. Using a special compound formulated for both dry and wet traction, the Street Comp has a non-directional asymmetrical design for superior summer-oriented performance and features a 300 AA A UTQG rating.

Best Fit Application: 19 x 10 Inch 2005 to 2013+ Wheels

NOTE: These are extreme ultra high performance summer specific compound and tread tires. Use during the summer and warm temperature months will result in far superior traction over “all season” tires. Use during the winter months/cold temperatures drastically reduces traction and exponentially increases stopping distance as the compound becomes less sticky.

Will these tires have a 'square' fit on a 10 inch wheel? I just got MMD wheels and can't stand a stretched look.

  • The Mickey Thompson Street Comp Tire - 285/35-19 (05-17 All) will have a very nice look, not looking stretched. This wheel will give you a nice square look.

Will this tires fit my 2014 mustang with the premium rims?

  • Depending on how wide your premium wheels are would determine if these tires will fit. As long as these wheels are 9" wide or wider you should be fine. You can check this by removing the wheel from the car and looking at the back of it. should say a measurement stating 19x9 or 20x8 and what that size means is the diameter of the wheel by the width of the wheel.

I have a 19x9 premium rims, will this product fit the rims. However, it is said that the tire's width is 9.5 , And you guys say that these tires will fit if the rims were 9 or wider. So will it fit my rims or not?

  • No, these are not advised for a 19x9 inch wheel. They are recommended for 9.5 and wider wheels.

Answer This Question

I currently have 18" rims all around with Sumitomo tires and want to change the rears to 19" rims with the 285 35 19 MT's. Do I need a new tune to compensate for the 19" on the rear since the rears will be turning slower than the front 18"? My mechanic advised that the ABS braking could be effected. Any thoughts?

  • You would need to change the tire diameter in the computer to have the speedometer read correctly - maybe - depending on the original wheel and tire diameter versus the new wheel and tire diameter. Go to an on-line tire size calculator to see if the diameter of new versus old is significant. As far as ABS, it seems to tolerate diameter differences well. The thing that can make it freak out a bit is a line lock so as long as there's no burn outs involved, you are probably OK. For burn outs, traction control OFF fixes that.

Answer This Question

Will these tires fit the stock wheels on a 2011 GT with the Brembo package? Do these fit the 2011 GT Brembo wheels size 19X9?

  • Yes and no. You can put thes on the rear, but not the front. They are simply too wide and will rub. 255/40-19 is the largest recommended tire for the front.

    285/35 fitment

Fitment with the 285/35 and Tech 7 9.5 wheels was perfect. I was apprehensive on going with 10.5 wheel abd MT tire based on appearance of tire/wheel to body. This combination is perfect. I would suggest AM offer this combination of MT 255/40 and 285/35 tire with the 9.5 Tech 7 wheel.

    Great all around tire

I am now on my second set of rear tires, had the last set for almost 3 years. I was very impressed with how they handled in the rain as much as dry traction. I used to hydro plane all the time with stock tires and thought these would be worse because of large footprint, but they proved me wrong

    Very Happy with MT!

The Factory tire on my GT was Goodyear F1 Supercar Tires. Very Sticky but only lasted 13K Miles. Too expensive to me as well. Then I had a cheaper tire (Toyo) recommended by a Local Tire Place that had horrible traction and cornering was dismal at best. it seemed like they would never wear out. I wanted the best of both worlds. Sticky traction, crisp handling and decent Tread Life. These Street Comp Tires fit the Bill. I love the fact that they were designed specifically for Muscle cars (Stated on the MT Website). At first they were not sticky but after 50 miles or so they broke in and wow what a quiet nice driving try. Thanks AM! Great Job AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN!!

    Great tire for the money!

VERY happy with these tires. Have them on a set of 19x10 AMR wheels(front and rear) and they look amazing. Wet/cold traction is certainly not the best, but since this is a summer only tire I cannot complain at all. Extremely nice looking tread pattern, kinda looks like an old school BFG KDW tire, which I love. Sidewall stability can be noticed very easily here, these are easily 10x firmer in the corners than the stock Pirellis. I think M/T will have a hit with these on the pony car market judging by looks alone. Took my car for a trip to upstate NY in December, while up there it started to snow. VERY impressed with these Mickeys in snowy conditions. While not an all season tire it did WONDERFULLY in the snow/freezing rain mix provided the driver acted responsibly. And in all honesty that is more than you can ask of a tire which is clearly out of its element in snowy corners and back roads of Northern NY. Very pleasantly surprised with these tires so far, and the car they were on in general(2013 GT.)

These tires will fit the 2011+ 19x9 Brembo package wheels great!! The rain grooves in these tires are awesome, I've had lots of wide tires in the past but i have noticed NO hydroplaning what so ever. These are not the softest tires in the world, but offer decent traction when warm and will give great mileage.

Look great, but can't get them to not spin with heavy throttle. Spin at 65 mph when downshifting. May be a little better when the weather gets warmer.

    Great Tires!

I got these Mickey Thompson Street Comps to replace the Sumitomos that had finally been worn down as far as they could go from when I originally got my wheel and tire kit. They grip great ride quiet, and look good. No more worrying about getting traction when pulling out into traffic! They also feel good around turns and are responsive to steering.

    Great tires

Great tires for the price. Very bold looking and grip well for a street tire. Ride is nice no loud road noise and great lateral handling. I would have to say there very similar to the Cooper RS3s that come on 2010 plus Roush mustangs. I've put 1k on they are defiantly worth the money. I wound buy them again.

worst tires i've every had on a car

just replaced my 2012 gt with another 2012 gt after i totaled the first one. The second car had these tires on the rear and 255s on the front. They are way too hard. Traction is terrible. Ride quality is awful. I would never recommend these to anyone. I had to go have them rebalanced after driving for awhile but they still vibrate. It feels like I'm riding in a giant skate bored.
